There's no question some of the catalog titles which have been released on UHD BD could have and should have looked better. On the other hand, they've typically been better than the BD version and is the best way to watch the movie.

i don't know how to say this....i look like that in real life lmao- someone called me a thunderbird once- i died- in all honesty, i need to upgrade my camera. And yes the slit is one of those things but gives me an element of danger lol ... well at least I can say Im distinctive lol ( it was scorching hot over hear so i was sweaty as hell )

In the video I watched and commented on he never shows THE disc.
I never said he has never shown a disc now did I.

I enjoy Brass Tax's reviews. He seems to give his honest opinion rather than rating picture quality 4.5 for almost everything like most sites do. With the lack of widespread enthusiasm by early adopters of the UHD format, I expect UHD to last about as long as 3D blu ray did. It's just too damn expensive, and you can only get burned so many times.

The month that just passed was the greatest month yet in quality movies with quality transfers. I would say enthusiasm is really high right now. And it's really not that much more expensive than bluray. No way it goes the way of 3d.

Disappointing catalogue title yet again... This really sucks - many of these releases will be the one and only release of a given movie on UHD blu-ray. There's no way the studios are going to spend any kind of money on fixing these releases down the line. It's simply too niche - anyone thinking otherwise are completely deluded.

According to the first quarter 2018 home entertainment spending report from the Digital Entertainment Group (May 16, 2018):

"Sales of the emerging 4K Ultra HD format drove an impressive 130% increase in the period, and accounted for nearly 12% of all Blu-ray spending." and "35 million (households) have 4K Ultra HD TVs."

"Consumers now have more than 300 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray titles available for viewing on Ultra HD Blu-ray players and enabled game consoles
and 438 4K Ultra HD Digital titles.

The new 4K format is doing well overall. And those 3D blu-rays are still being released, both here and abroad. All you gotta do is read the "Top News" column on the home page to know that tidbit.

Yeah. It's doing so well that people can't even find some titles in store. Almost everybody I know has a 4K tv set, 99% of them do not have a 4K UHD player. I suspect the format could be around for a while, I just don't see it becoming the standard that blu ray has become. Especially with physical media declining as a whole.
