Maybe a stupid question, but have you tried checkinh if the tvs audio sync has changed? Mine usuly is on 230 on the samsung tv, but a couple times it went down to 0 by itself

Surely this won't fix my issue?

No problems with mine. Try changing the audio output setting on your UHD player from Bitstream --> PCM (so the player is doing the decoding instead).

It might, if you're running the audio through the TV there's a potential for the reprocessing of the signal to cause lag. Plus you'll be getting a lossless signal sent to the soundbar rather than being downgraded to lossy Dolby or DTS.

I'll give it a go, but just to clarify:

The blu-ray player is plugged directly (via HDMI) into the sound bar, and the sound bar is connected to the TV via arc.

Would the audio-only socket still be worth a try?

On mine it looks phenomenal.
I'm not disputing that it looks phenomenal. It does. Possibly my favorite catalog release on UHD so far.
It's the minor inconsistencies in the use of green tint that's being questioned by myself and a few other members here. If that inconsistency was also present on the original theatrical release I think that's just fine. If it was introduced when grading the UHD it's less fine. But regardless it doesn't matter that much as it's a stellar release anyway.

If only Jurassic Park had recieved the same love and care...

So is the word that the trilogy will be out by the end of the year? May return my copy if that's the case.

Trilogy as in all the films. Yeah they will probably all be out by the end of the year. Whether or not there is a box set of all three is anyone’s guess.

I like the grain in Jurassic World 4K, which wasn't there on the old Blu...looking like a soap opera.
Fury 4K too looks marvelous. ...And The Matrix 4K.

Yes, we can go very deep and find all the beauty in this world of 4K BR discs.
The Matrix is one of them; the imperfections make it perfect...IMO.

But yeah, it's an imperfect world because there is no way everyone can be pleased equally @ the same time in the same space. No two people have four equal eyes, and no two TVs have two same images, and no two 4K BR players have two same video output settings.

If one is right the other is also right; there is no wrong...except for Jurassic Park lll 4K picture. Theyll get it right next time around...no big deal we'll just buy it again when all the six JP flicks come up on 8K discs (HDMI 2.1).

* T-Rex is scarier in 3D.

It's actually seemed to work. It's a bit of a botch so I wouldn't want to keep it setup this way but at least I can watch this disc without the audio lag. If anything I would say the audio seems a touch fast now but I can fix that with the audio delay function. Cheers for the suggestion!

Well, you could always leave it set up that way for future necessity, but set the player to output audio from the primary HDMI. That way you can just change it to output from the secondary if you're having lag issues using the primary

Might not be related but I had bad audio lag issues with Dolby Vision discs when playing movies on my LG OLED E6. Even sending the audio through the second output of the OPPO didn't make a difference. What 'fixed' it for me was changing the audio delay setting on my Denon receiver(I still had HDMI audio sync enabled). Strangely enough this setting only seemed to affect Dolby Vision audio, HDR10, SDR and regular SD content were all still perfectly in sync like they were even with the Audio delay setting disabled.

Human nature, I guess: we lack the ability to be content with what we've got going. No matter how objectively good (though not pefect) that might be. It's just not part of our DNA.

It's always been there, as with so many things today the Internet just amplifies everything. But as soon as new video formats were created that purported to have better quality then why wouldn't the more analytical amongst us focus on the things that were supposed to set X new format apart from the rest? Christ, people were complaining about the smeary DNR and lots of tiny little mistakes on the Star Wars "Definitive Collection" Laserdiscs before some of y'all were even born. I'm not saying you have to like it, but that's just how some minds work, including mine. Nitpickers of the world unite! Well, they would if they could find the right venue with the proper space, adequate parking, air conditioning etc...

It was!
But LD was better and SVHS was better than both tape formats and Muse LD was better than all of it, then DVHS was better than all of that and dvd.
