Absolutely not. I own both packages. The US contains the 2007 disc while the UK contains the 35th.

The French are also getting a UHD release from ESC, I hope the people doing the mastering don't decide to release a 2.66 ultra wide edition just because they can...

I would be all over this if the discs weren’t region B (as presented on the labels)

Neat. I wonder if it'll have the correct original mono on the UHD.

Based on the info on the website looks like Italian and English 5.1 audios only on the 4k. That's a bummer, especially considering the original mono was on the 35th anniversary in the collector's edition boxset, which I own, and not the standalone release

What is off?

I found the HDR & WCG to impress me on this release. The truck that Sam Loomis checks out early looked perfectly red on my set. Never looked better, but I lost my old DVD and never had this on original Blu Ray. I love this 4K release it should be 9.99 or less really soon too/again.

German UHD apparently has original mono but they changed all the title cards.

Is it worth the upgrade from the blu ray? I have the 35th anniversary Steelbook and I’m debating whether to change
