I take it your not a fan of all the slomo used in The Matrix either?

Part ones Blu-ray could use a nice bump up in video. I’m down for that one. The others I am already happy with or not watching again (part 2).

Seeing as how they didn't put effort into GP's cover. I'm going to assume Rogue Nation's will be the generic poster.
Ghost Protocal has a color. It's a grey metal color.

Default Imax?

MI: Ghost Protocol UHD needs variable aspect ratio to make the most of the IMAX shots. Hope they think to include this because the blu-ray didn’t.

I'm being facetious. A little. Tom will continue to make these films until he can no longer physically do so. Many people thought for a while that Jeremy Renner was being groomed to replace him, but he's nowhere to be found in Fallout, unless there's an uncredited cameo in the offing.
Renner passed on MI because of his Marvel commitments - the irony there is obvious, yes?! - and his Bourne franchise spin-off was shelved partly due to that, the modest BO of his entry into the franchise, and the disinterest from the studio in going down that road after Damon and Greengrass came back to do the last Bourne film. I don't think we'll see him go down either road again and Henry Cavill might take over his spot in the MI franchise.

Agreed on not making assumptions--thus the "maybe" and question marks.

Is there a precedent so far in Par's UHD BD output for them authoring onto a single disc supplements which had previously appeared on two separate ones?

Only 1, 2, and 4 for me then. Hoping 1-3 will have updated Blu-rays too.

Nothing's gonna be confirmed until there's an official press release from Paramount. Stay tuned.

I remember Brad Bird saying (when Ghost Protocol released on Blu-Ray) that he didn't want to include the shifting aspect ratios on the home release because he felt it was distracting on a television.

I wholeheartedly disagree (with the exception of Transformers: The Last Knight - that shit was obnoxious).

Aye, and I really don't think his opinion on the matter will have changed so the UHD will shirley be the fixed aspect version.

The content area for Scope aspect is tiny on a typical panel display (65" etc). Get on the path to front projection and you will forget about this silly aspect shifting nonsense. Call me snobby, but I'm not wrong.

Sort of getting more and more pumped for these. $27 still way too much though.

Was at Disc Replay tonight and suddenly there were many used copies of all MI movies.

I was wondering why...now I know...good thing I never bought 1-3 on BD.
