I don't get how the site review gives it such a poor score for extras. The bundled Blu-ray is part of the set, period, and it should be reviewed as such in my opinion.

The wire is removed on the UHD.

Im going to Walmart this morning right away to get the new 4K blu ray set of Evil Dead II. The store only has two copies in stock in the movie shelf rack.

I missed out on the regular blu ray 25th anniversary release awhile back.

Im only buying the new 4K release of Evil Dead II since it has the regular blu ray that has the movie along with the bunch of bonus features.

Lionsgate is bad about sometimes delaying activating promo codes, usually it's resolved within a day or so.

I have also seen this error when a code for UHD is attempted but UHD is not available, sometimes it will just redeem for HD but other times it'll give an error.

Worse case scenario you should be able to contact Lionsgate directly for a replacement code.

I recommend waiting until Evil Dead 2 rolls out in UHD on digital so you get the highest quality.

Besides it being a fancy 4K re release with the additional 25th anniversary blu ray, I have one old Evil Dead movie for blu ray.

Still need to get Army of Darkness and thats it

I'm in the same boat. Same thing with the Rambo movies. My wife is gonna hate me.

Speaking of the Rambo movies for the new 4K

They have some odd new bonus features such as working out hitting the gym type bonus features to be like Sly etc

Better off just having the older Ultimate Edition DVDs of the Rambo movies

I tried entering the digital redeem code from the paper insert that came with the Evil Dead II that i bought on my VUDU but the codes dont work yet.

Is it because the 4K release is brand new since just yesterday?

So I have to say... I have thirteen 4K UHD movies, and this is the FIRST ONE to actually impress me. It looks fantastic. Now granted, my TV was an earlier 4K model and so I can't view HDR sadly, but even without it, this blows every version of Evil Dead 2 completely out of the water. Even the blu ray that comes with it looks like junk compared to this. Funny how a 31 year old film finally shows me the strengths of 4k when films that came out last year in the format don't impress me. I am also glad that we actually get a good 4K movie in the aspect ratio that actually fills my TV. I hate how I can't see much of a difference in 2:40:1 aspect ratio movies. Granted, my TV is only 65", but I much prefer more screen real estate. This release gives me hope that more classic horror in 1:85:1 ( or similar ratios ) makes it to the format. THIS is what I want to spend my money on!

I also received it today (finally) and despite having seen the UHD transfer already, I'm eager to watch it again. This is one of my favorite movies of all time after all.

I usually never do this but doesn't this look so much better than the awful original UHD artwork?

The only thing that's bothering me though, is that "25th anniversary edition" tagline...

Now I also want to customize the UHD for the first movie as well. I want this cover instead of what we got:

This is my all time favorite artwork of any movie in existence. Is there a Blu-ray release anywhere which has this as the front cover?

I'd love to see some custom covers for this pop up. The design Lionsgate went with is just ok. It's much more Army of Darkness in tone.

Those gym featurettes were some of the most ridiculous supplements I have ever seen on a disc.

The model wasn't even in really good shape, and I could also go on a diatribe about what Stallone was really using in the early 80's to get the physique he had.

Exactly i swear they add weird crap for "new" bonus features for 4K releases of movies.

I still think the older Ultimate Edition DVDs of the Rambo movies are better
