I don't think its the TV or HDMI. The HDMI is a Monoprice and as stated I've watched other 4K Blu-ray's with no issues. I thought it stopped after the first few minutes but when Dr. Loomis is in the car with the nurse and they are driving towards the sanitarium it gets worse. No audio issues that I could detect really but it's certainly annoying.

Using this 4K Player, don't think its the issue either.

It is a completely valid question. And certainly one more helpful than your comment dared to provide. I was experiencing flashing black bars with specific discs and content on my 2020 OLED and upon replacing no longer witnessed. It is also the case that the 2020 models have Dolby Vision issues currently, as my other comment specified. If this user had the same display, I could have provided some specific advice.

Does anyone know if the new steel book will have the TV edited version as a bonus feature? (even a BD would be great IMO).

I love the look of it, and want to get it for my collection, but I’m hoping for a reason other than packaging, to help justify the purchase.

Maybe the 45th anniversary edition in 2023 will resolve this issue.

I hope it does come with a digital code cause that’s the reason I preordered it. And Best Buy’s listing says “Includes digital copy” so they better keep their word on it.

That'd be quite silly, seeing as the digital copy is under $10 on both iTunes and Vudu... and the digital version not only maxes at 1080p, but it's not remastered. It's just a rip of the hideous 2007 Anchor Bay Blu-ray transfer.

For the very first time I’m tempted to buy a movie for the steelbook version. Only because every other John Carpenter movie in 4K is steelbook and I keep them together(only director I do that for). Course as pointed out, there’ll likely be another by 2023.

Just saying, dont be shocked when they dont. Lionsgate is releasing this, same as last years with no code. Digital rights are owned by Compass intl.

I have the big Shout/Scream Halloween set, so wasn't necessarily planning on buying any single 4K releases like this, but the Best Buy steelbook was enticing enough to make me pull the trigger.

I hate to admit it, but that BBY steel is so sexy looking that I'm planning to double dip, just for the packaging...and I'm even pretty far behind on other planned purchases right now.
