I just looked at the review, didn't give much to wanna upgrade, Is this one a worthy upgrade from the Bluray?

Weirdly the included BluRay is an older issue and different from the one included in the basic 4K release which had the same art at the 4K disc

I noticed this as well, was wondering if the disc was new or old.

The UH BD, of course, excels over the 2013 BD. However, it also restores some of the color saturation that seemed a little lost or drained on the prior BD

I would love to get this on UHD. It’s a film I’ve called my favorite many times (I actually have like a dozen), but I can’t stand the fact that this doesn’t have the original mono track. The remix isn’t as bad as others, but I’d definitely prefer the original mix.

It does have the original mono track just not lossless. If I’m not mistaken.

Also, I noticed that the regular blu-ray disc in this has different art than the previous 4K release and the FYE exclusive Steelbook, does anyone know if it's a new or old disc?

The disc Art look just like the Anchor Bay release. Cant check tonight to see if they are the same disc

The regular blu-ray in the standard 4K release is the 2007 disc.

It’s a downmix of the surround track. Not the original audio.

To my knowledge, Halloween (1978) is unfortunately not yet available in 4K digitally. I would hope that some day it will be available digitally and that the code will hopefully redeem for 4K, but currently it's not possible as far as I know. I'm going to hold on to my code for now and hope the 4K goes up on digital.

You shouldn’t be looking at this site’s reviews, especially not for 4K.

Honestly, not really sure lol. But definitely check these threads(especially reviews by Geoff D) to see which 4K discs are good. Mad Max Fury Road, for example, looks great but the site review was written when the UHD displays had trouble with HDR and was never updated.

Was that 2007 Blu disc a good release? Got this steel today, haven't seen this in 4K yet. Can't wait.
