Really liked this flick. It's not even remotely a horror film, but a nice continuation of the story. Very strong performances, great script, and didn't rely on being a Shining sequel. I will say that audiences who are only familiar with modern King adaptations and only like jump scare horror probably will be disappointed.

The movie has this very dull and flat look to it. I dunno if it's a good or bad thing, but I'm not expecting a knockout UHD here. Just don't think this was shot in such a way to deliver that. Good movie, though.

Haven't found the book scary at all so far and neither was the movie.

Fair enough. I don't think Kubrick's The Shinning is all that scary myself so I understand. The book may be scarier, but I've never read it. To be honest, I don't know that I've read or seen much Stephen King that I thought was truly scary. And what ones I did think were scary are probably nothing to anyone else. I think what King excels at, for me, is being creepy and chilling.

It straight-up says 'Artwork TBC' at the top. That won't be the cover.

P.S. The film's really good, so everyone needs to see it pronto.

I wouldn't be so sure given WB's recent cover art track record.

If the SteelBook uses that cover then the standard 4K looks better if it uses the yellow movie poster like in the amazon listing. Hopefully with the yellow on the spine as well so it contrasts nicely with the 4K Shining.

It's not out so I don't know, but I highly doubt it. Highly. Doesn't seem like the kind of movie to get 3D.

Yeah I totally know what you mean. I don't like all that *nudge nudge* *wink wink* "remember when...?" stuff either. Especially when its worse than that and blatantly copies scenes from previous movies almost identically.

There's a big difference between paying homage and simply copying someone else's homework.
