Great news! Instant buy for me! Hopefully Paramount will step up their 4K blu-ray game in 2021.

Sometimes you have to address the burning bush in order to part the red sea.

In 1956 they promoted this film in a secular context as being about "the birth of freedom." If nothing else, TEN COMMANDMENTS is epic Hollywood filmmaking in peak form. Produced by Cecil B. DeMille, an all-star cast, shot in VistaVision -- this is remarkable cinema by any definition.

Paramount's mastering has been on a pretty good roll recently. Assuming they don't fumble at the goal-line, this UHD should be a show-stopper!

It's definitely good, religious or not. As stated, it's pure golden age Hollywood spectacle at its finest. Some of the stuff they pull off is amazing, given the time period. And, as also stated, being shot in VistaVision, it's a helluva stunner even on just plain ole standard BD!

I bought the Blu a while back and have never gotten around to watching it. Onto the 'to sell' pile it goes!

I had watched it, but I had a hunch, so about 5 or 6 months ago I sold the "ultimate collector's edition" BD I had. Got good money for it, enough to pay for the replacement.

This film to this date is insanely epic and spectacular. Talk about screen-filing splendor. The sets, location, costumes, FX all pop - the colors, everything.

Could look really amazing in 4K.

I need to pop mine in to ye olde Sony 800M2 and upscale her on the 55" LG. The last time I watched it, it was on my lowly 40" Sony FHD set.

I'm waiting,I'm remember that a canadian site announced Pulp fiction in UHD in december 2019!Inglourious basterds was also announced this year and it's not released.

But an issue of Ten commandments in UHD is possible,Paramount is very active to issue his back catalogue!

Would love to see King of Kings and The Greatest Story Ever Told get the UHD treatment as well.

I think if you are an atheist you will find this film at best uninteresting and at worst offensive.

If you are generally a believer in a higher power even if that is unspecific I think you will find it inspiring and a great film.
