I think by now we would have known. Wish they'd have taken the cover art and then removed that HDR sticker and made that the steelbook.
But I don't see any steelbook happening.

What I could totally see happening is what happened with "It's a Wonderful Life" and one coming next year after people bought the standard release.

I'm hoping the new transfer is on the blu-ray disc too because I haven't upgraded to 4K yet. I know it's the same restoration, but apparently there's some color-correction done on this new release and that might be nice to see.

They released information stating that the 4K comes from a 6K master, same as the blu-ray released earlier. It’s probably the same transfer with color tweaking as you mentioned in your post because the 4K derives from a 6K master. Any newer and better scan would probably come from an 8K master.

Might have misunderstood your post, it is doubtful any rework would be done to the included Blu-ray Disc, it’s usually considered an added bonus when buying 4K. It usually keeps costs down by just focusing on the 4K.

A new BD would prob be pointless if it's from the same scan. Maybe the encoding may be improved but I don't see Pari doing new BD's very often unless they port a new master to BD or update a disc with lossy to lossless.

Yeah so am I the only one who ordered this from DD and the next day had this particular item cancelled from the order? I actually made two orders by mistake and both had only this item cancelled.
It's still up for pre-order, so wtf? Sour taste man.

Wow, that's pretty uncool. I went back and rechecked my 15% off order with DeepDiscount and my Close Encounters 4K blu-ray is on it's way and it still shows Ten Commandments 4K needing to be fulfilled, it being a preorder.

I make pdf file screen grabs of my orders in case an online merchant tries to put the screws to me, it has happened from time to time... This way, I have documentation to fall back upon as leverage with my credit card company. What you could do is refuse the order and let DD swallow the round trip shipping costs unless they make amends and include Ten Commandments 4K at the discounted price $16.63. DD will probably just re-establish your order instead of loosing their shirts on shipping costs if you telephone them with this ultimatum. Don't be swindled, stand up for your consumer rights.

That is probably the only sensical thing slimdude has ever said on these forums. You can get some great deals with deepdiscount but it is definitely a risk, they are a very shady business.

This really surprises me. My last pre-order experience with DeepDiscount, I obtained a 46 disc Mission Impossible television series blu-ray set at DD’s site wide 15% promotional discount, bringing my total down to $67.14, about $9.59 a season.
