Panasonic 820. Other 100gb discs from other studios are fine. Its just those 3 from Warner that I've noticed so far. They used to work.

I have just seen this UK region 4K Steelbook of Superman: The Movie 1978 up for pre-order on The Movie Room website.

Release date is November 3rd 2025.

https://www.themovieroom.com/product...0d275a24&_ss=r

I'm not sure if this contains the new remaster or the old one. The front cover art has the original poster art on it. However it could be an old one. I have never seen Steelbook cover art for Superman: The Movie 1978 like that before. Is this up for pre-order on Amazon or HMV etc?

Italian Steel.

Superman: The Movie 4K Blu-ray 2025 Steelbook 70mm DTS-HD MA 5.1

(I suppose it's the same as the recent regular 4K with the 70mm 5.1)

So some of the guys at Capedwonder have done a video of the new standard Italian 4k, and the 70mm is still in DD. However the Spanish version is indeed in DTS.

Have no word on Steelbook versions and if they differ.

That guy's full of shit, he just went off incorrect specs printed on the back cover he saw in other people's videos. He doesn't actually have the Italian disc. The specs for the latest Italian 4K have already been posted in the 4K boxset thread and it also has DTS-HD MA.

I have the Italian disc and that's incorrect.

Anyone confirm if the new pressing of the set fixes all the issues?

So there's a chance that this set is STILL not corrected? I thought that was all but confirmed. Man...I'm gonna be irate if the corrected discs aren't in this freakin thing..

I already own the 2023 4K set with the old disc for the first film. Is it worth the upgrade from 2.0 to 5.1 if I do not have a theatrical audio setup? And assuming that the video will be unchanged? Just trying to figure out the biggest difference(s) between the old disc and this upcoming one.

I have the 2018 version any deference from the 2023 version? Was anything corrected or is it just a new pressing?

I just got a notification from Amazon.fr the steelbook has been delayed until Nov 24th. I might have to look at other options.

Since you bought the set, you can just contact WB for free replacements. You’ll get the original 5.1 that’s now in lossless and the opening credits glitch is fixed.

The only difference would be the 5.1 dolby being omitted in the 2023 pressings. The 2025 pressings gives both the 2.0 track (on the 2023 disc) and 5.1 track (on 2018 disc) but now lossless. Plus, it fixes the Reeve opening credit glitch.

This thread has been confusing to me with all the different types of soundtracks being on different discs with newer releases not having a certain type of sound track a different one has.

I just hope this newer version ends up having the audio originally used from the movie's 70mm release.
