Just saw this UHD BD was $19.99 and figured I'll give it a view.

I wish I thought Elizabeth Moss was nice looking or didn't have resting mad face ... I'm kind of old fashioned in that I think movie stars should be attractive. Kind of wish she was the invisible one.

I guess we all have opinions.

I figured, maybe It's just me so I looked for the EM appreciation thread in the celebrities forum here and surprise there isn't one.

She is a great actor that I just happen to find unattractive.. I thought she was great in Get Out. I only just ordered this movie and haven't seen it yet... (in case that matters.)

Her performance is excellent, that really is all that matters. If she was traditionally "more attractive" I don't think that would make one jot of difference to her performance.

Do you have to share this particular opinion though? This thread already got rolled back once because someone else said exactly this about Ms Moss, although I don't get what the correlation is between being a good actor and being conventionally attractive.

I didn’t realize this thread had this problem already but I guess it's going to come up again as time goes by.

Moreover, I could change my mind after seeing the film or maybe Handmaids Tale (I think she’s in that)

No one needs to be "pretty" to do a good job. I hope I like the movie or at least that I"m able to sit through it.

I think you're missing the point, and there's a couple of them. Nobody wants you to go off and watch her filmography and then suddenly decide she's attractive to you. Her attractiveness to you has nothing to do with anything, and yet people keep bringing it to the table. I don't know why so many people must make their opinion be known! Just stop objectifying women and basing your value in them whether or not you think they're hot. Capiche?

I wouldn't go so far as to say I was objectifying her. But you want the moral high ground and you can have it.

She's an actress, celebrity and public figure. People form opinions based on how they look.

I have 2 actors in my family and I know they are cast based on roles they can play which is a bit of how they look.

Most people don't recommend Jonah Hill to replace Danial Craig as the next James Bond but times are a changing I guess.

Ha ha. You’re right but she keeps getting a lot of roles. Regardless of her looks she was good in this film. One of the best films of 2020.

I don't really agree with that, but when you're infatuated with someone you think everything about them is amazing, regardless of what you may have once thought before you were infatuated. That's your explanation.
