For those that own Shout Factory’s other UHDs, are their included Blu-rays usually recycled discs, or are they down-scales of the UHDs? I’d definitely appreciate the new transfers of 2-5, even in 1080p before I upgrade.

He's talking about Dawn of the Discs, who didn't even leak the titles - retailers instead put the listings up early which is what Dawn reported on. Which is something that's happened before, and isn't even remotely his fault but instead on Shout/Scream for sending out the listings and information early to the retailers. All he did was post about the listing information that the retailers had already published.

I understand the Shout guys not being happy that the titles leaked but it's really on them that it happened.

Thing is, you can’t put the cat back in the bag no matter how pissed they are.

I also think they need to be careful being negative about “fan-boy groups” since these contain their core market! I get them being annoyed but they run the risk of doing even more damage if they don’t just suck it up (and maybe plug the leak by not letting anything be known ahead of official PR to said leak in future).

Definitely feel he would be singing a different tune if people took the box art well. The artwork for Carpenter's other 4K's under Shout were wonderful, why did they have to suddenly make Halloween 2 Micheal's face look too stretched and Halloween 5 Michael look even more like Nick Cage than he already did. Besides, it's not like we knew about this because of an early pre-order link or anything...
