Yes. My point was that this kind of art at least fits better for some movies more than others. Halloween is definitely not one of them.

Horrid artwork aside (typical Scream Factory...), is this confirmed to be a new transfer? I wasn't very taken by the 2018 transfer so I'm interested in a possible upgrade.

Nothing about these releases has been confirmed yet. But most likely, yes.

I am really hyped for this Shout! Factory Halloween release but I really hope that Shout! also makes huge, comprehensive 4K box sets for this and their other big slasher franchise license Friday the 13th.

Those two and a John Carpenter 4K box set are my dream 4K box sets from Scream! Factory, and for other Shout! Factory releases, don't get me started with my dream 4K releases from GKIDS.

That seems to be a placeholder for Scream’s releases for whatever reason. It was used for the Friday set too.

Also, King Records re-released Halloween as a 4K remastered 1080p Blu-ray in Japan.
But they didn't do a 4K UHD even though they released Fafner in the Azure: Heaven and Earth in 4K and are going to release Rebuild of Evangelion: 3.333 in 4K.
A King Records 4K UHD of Halloween with an Atmos mix and the original mono mix, as well as 4K UHD releases of everything Evangelion are the King Records 4Ks I really want to see. I would get the Shout! Factory release instead but I want Japanese fans to see Halloween in 4K Dolby Vision in a language they can understand.

All that hoopla with Dawn of the Discs, but it looks like Shout were already on the verge of announcing it anyway, considering other retailers are now listing it.

I mean, if they did ask Amazon to take it down….like the secret is already out. They might as well announce it. I can understand them being annoyed that it was leaked but it’s already out there. Just announce the damn things and call it a day lol. Or they could at least acknowledge it was leaked and then say an announcement is coming.

Jeff Nelson deleted it yesterday around 6:00 PM after DotD was DMCA claimed. He also blamed the DMCA claim on someone else, despite it saying an account with his email DMCA claimed it.
