If there's one franchise where I would continue to buy re- releases where quality continues to improve, or new bonus features are added, it's HALLOWEEN.

I just want Danielle Harris and Don PleasNce to return and finish what they started in 4/5. Actually if 5 could get remade and they killed him that would be the best way imho. They should have killed him in 5. But ya horror franchises are like the Catholic church always need more money!

Anyone know if the widescreen negative for the TV Scenes have been lost to time? Possibly by Crest?

It was a huge deal in 1999 when they were found by Bill Lustig http://www.dvdreview.com/1999/05/pro...y-halloween/2/ as they were long presumed to have been shot flat, but it seems like that 20+ year old standard def transfer keeps getting recycled. It would be amazing if that negative could get a 4K transfer some day - preferably within my lifetime. But again...Crest....didn't they lose the Director's Cut of Supergirl too?

Since Crest were also in the possession of the Supergirl DC 35mm elements shipped from London, it wouldn't be surprising if they weren't claimed by StudioCanal/Warner and got scraped, or perhaps ended up with a asset buyer who didn't realize what they had and did the same thing. The same thing happened to the longer cut of The Prince and the Pauper.
