A: 10 UHDs all at once "would just be impossible" and "so we had to split it up someway." Remarks that 1,4, and 5 are "new to Shout Factory" and that they were licensed from Trancas International, and that 2 and 3 have existed with Scream Factory since the start of the imprint.

Might just be keeping the door open for Paramount, but the "split it up" wording makes it feel like they expect to get those films.

Additionally, Cliff expects the discs to be done by around August 6, so the second wave announcement should be forthcoming around that time to reveal "everything that's on the disc" because the currently announced extras are just old material that they knew they could still use. "There will be much more on the disc."
I hope so. I'll definitely pick up H6 and likely pick up H20. I have no need for the rest.

And honestly, I doubt RZ intended either of his films, especially RZH2, to be in 4K quality.

More special features to be announced in a few weeks, they can't go into details until everything is signed off due to backlash they've had in the past announcing features early that didn't pan out

Someone asked about the lost H5 footage, response was.. "wait and see what is announced in a couple of weeks" which seems promising
I thought it was confirmed that the previous 4K disc came from the OCN?

Normally I would agree, but with Cundey I question how relevant given his supervision seems whimsical.

Which is understandable because, Diabolik, Shout Factory, Kino Lorber, Vinegar Syndrom and Zavvi are small independent companies, who have to charge more for their 4K and Blu-ray releases to make a profit. They're not big chain retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Target, Barnes & Nobles etc, who can afford to discount their merchandise to lower competitive prices.

Yeah, I can't see them topping SS terrific release. Besides, it would most likely have one of their horrendous covers and need a replacement program for one thing or anther.

That might be important because that first 4K from Lionsgate is garbage. I've literally watched the standard Blu-Ray that came with it more than the 4K.

How long do you think they have to wait before they can put their own fully loaded collectors edition of Halloween 2018 out?

Decisions. Decisions.
The original 2-channel audio mixes are not included in the NSM Blu-rays for 4 and 5. The 2.0 mixes on them are just downmixes of the 5.1.

Definitely not anytime before late 2022 when the third entry in the trilogy comes out. Universal is pretty hesitant on allowing rights to an active franchise go and the Blum trilogy is still in production. After then I'm not sure, but it'll probably been likely that it happens with in 10 years of the release of Halloween Ends.

I don’t think Paramount is opposed to licensing titles at the moment, but a random IG comment is not really a good source. He could also be referring to the several SF titles released prior to the rumor that Paramount won’t license out titles anymore. And 6-8 are Miramax titles. Miramax hasn’t licensed any titles out since the Paramount deal happened.

The only problem with releasing the other 5 film is that those films will definitely sell less than the first 5. Who is going to spend $36.99 on 4Ks of Resurrection and Rob Zombie's Halloween II?

I'll buy Resurrection as a thank you if they release Part 6.

Would they even be able to give us new special features? If so, why didnt the studio release them to begin with?
