Thinking about putting my Best Buy exclusive steelbook of Halloween 1978 on eBay for some extra cheddar to soften the blow of the cost of all 5 of the new 4K releases.
Think I'll be safe in doing so? The SF release of it should be equally as good or better, right? |

Its a safe bet that the new edition will look different because: Dean Cundey. Other than that it's impossible to say at this juncture whether the color grading changes will be controversial or a welcome refinement. Personally I'm hanging onto the Lionsgate UHD (slipcover version) as I really like the transfer and don't mind owning multiple editions. |

All the new Shout Halloween 4K’s appear to have disappeared from Deep Discount’s website now, any ideas why?

All Cliff said was that the contents of the discs would be finalized by today so that they could start production. |

I had a feeling this would happen. All Cliff said was that the discs were being pressed today. I’m not expecting a final specs announcement until next week. But also the release date changed by a week, so it’s possible the discs aren’t even being pressed today anymore.

I just hope the original Halloween and Halloween II's color timing and brightness/contrast match or are similar.
I have the Lionsgate Halloween 4K which has the 2007 Blu-Ray and the Shout Halloween II Steelbook. No matter which H1 disc I watch neither is anything close to the Shout H2 Blu-Ray. |

They package stuff very well in my experience, they also replaced a product that was damaged (not due to shipment, but rather from a warehouse).

Going to wait as always to sell the release I already own, shame no original audio on it in lossless and it's a downmix, when I get this Shout/Scream one. Which is this. Will be nice getting them all with the slipcovers. Glad I held off on wanting to get the Steelbooks, don't like that case type, of II and III because of the announcement.
Will ask in the HALLOWEEN II thread there. Glad this is now outdated, unless if I should keep it for the older 2007/whenever BD. ![]() Last edited by AdmiralNoodles; 08-06-2021 at 09:02 PM. |
