They never could get the mask to look right (lawsuits and such I know), and with all due respect to the people who played the Shape in the 4-8 sequels, they couldn't hold a candle to Castle and Warlock.

Kev
Warlock in my opinion is way too slow as Michael, he nails some his mannerisms such as the head tilt, looking stiff as a rock, and the mask is on point as it still looks creepy despite the weathering. But he is way slower compared to Michael of the first movie. A. Michael Lerner who played Michael in the reshoots of Halloween 6 is very intimidating with that walk of his and he is slender just like Nick Castle, too bad he wasn't in another Halloween movie.

In all fairness, Michael
[Show spoiler]had been shot 6 (7?) times and fell from a second-story window.
That would make anybody move slow.

Nobody has captured Michael like Nick Castle did, and Dick Warlock is not even close to having the same build as Castle. It also bugs me that the hair on Michael's mask was slicked back in part 2. Why?

The mask was not in good condition since Debra Hill (the producer of Halloween 1- III) didn't really took care of it since filming ended of Halloween 1978. Well actually throughout the filming of the first movie. There's a photo of a party after shooting ended and they have all three masks (two stunt masks and the hero mask) on the floor .

Oh and here's one pic of Jamie Lee Curtis with Nick Castle and another with Dick Warlock. You can see the weathering on the mask's hair. BTW, damn Laurie!

H3 and Christine are my favorite Carpenter scores by far. I can’t choose between them because they both sound like they belong to the same movie haha

A. Michael Lerner is one of my favorites. He was just ferocious and ultra badass.

Nice, I've actually never seen that second pic. Love the expression on DP's face.

The H6 mask looks better in the reshoots for the T-Cut. I remember hearing a disgruntled crew member messed with the mask (forget what he did exactly), but it actually improved it.

I agree completely. With the exception of a couple of shots, the T-Cut mask is overall way better and way more intense than the P-Cut mask. I love it. It's my #1 favorite mask of them all.

This is a shot of the mask from the P-Cut where it looks PHENOMENAL! I love the way they made the hair look in a lot of shots, including this one. It's super badass.

The crew member allegedly rubbed chemicals inside and outside the mask. This destroyed most masks which is why a screen used mask is hard to be found today. You can see the deterioration in the closeups during the ending but it still looks creepy asf.

It was probably Moe Syzslak.

The hair makes Michael Myers look like Sean Clark.

I love the look of Myers in H6. The mask, the brutality, the relentlessness. Love the cinematography and the fall time look and Halloween vibes. I’m just not a fan of the story of a cult creating and controlling Myers (it’s more ambiguous in the T-Cut, which is one reason I prefer that version).

“I spent eight years trying to reach him and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized that what was living behind that boy’s eyes was purely and simply… the Curse of Thorn.” Doesn’t have the same effect as the original line. I still love watching the movie though.

There is one scene in Halloween 4 where I think the mask looks pretty good, and that is when Kathleen Kinmont brings the coffee to who she thinks is the police officer, but instead it's Michael. The shot where he impales her with the shotgun, which if I am not mistaken is not George Wilbur but Tom Morga. It has to be because the mask is shaped differently and Michaels body frame is more slender, which looks a lot better. Michael was never supposed to be built like a line backer

Edit: This one right here

.. Has nothing to do with the fact you can only see like 15% of the mask lol

Assault on Precinct 13 is probably my favourite of Carpenter's scores (hell, it's my favourite of his films). That main theme does things to my nether region.

Completely OOT, but very much related to your post. Have you seen Gaspar Noe's Love?

I haven't, no! I know of it, but the only Noe film I've seen is Irreversible.
