Chronicals of riddick was terrible imo, the third film “riddick” was much better. Neither are as good as the first one. If this transfer is done right we will gets some amazing blacks.

Probably because MGM expects Arrow to foot the whole bill, just check how Kino’s plan for Kino Lorber to eventually release the Leone film blew up. I bet Universal, and Studio Canal we willing to workwith Arrow. (I think the odds of Pitch Black already having a 4K master was pretty good.)

It looks like the inner sleeve is reversible, one for 'night' and one for 'day', and that the slip will just be the 'night' art. I guess the thinking being that if you reverse the sleeve then you've got 'day' under the 'night' of the slip.

All that money spent on limited editions etc then they start releasing on 4k later. Think it mite be worth selling my arrow blu rays now before they become worthless

if you've never seen Pitch Black then I envy you cause you'd get to experience what'll probably be the definitive edition of it. most of it takes place in the dark so black levels will be insane im sure and Atmos audio will be crazy for the creatures of the film. so in a nutshell, its more than worth a blind buy

The description reads "Original DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround on both cuts" so I don't believe we'll be getting Atmos. Regardless, I'm sure it will sound great.
