It may not get much lower. It's Paramount after all, not Sony or Lionsgate.

With the reduced price and using points it only cost me $9.66 so what the hell why not.

Other than a few rare moments, the blu ray looks better to me. Another 4K UHD bust imho. I should mention that I watched it in HDR not Dolby Vision.

What do you mean another? You act like this an issue. There is only a few titles where the BD is better. Very few.

I blame it on the HDR gimmick. I think HDR makes the picture look too dark and washed out. Maybe it's my tv, but I have heard the exact same complaints from many others. Almost every 4K UHD that I have compared to it's blu ray counterpart looks dull and lifeless. Sure, it looks sharper, but what good is added detail if the rest of the picture looks murky?

It's typically from people with TVs that are half-assing HDR.

Then strip the HDR out and watch with more resolution and wider color gamut. I have yet to watch a UHD release where I thought the 1080p blu-ray is better.

Even if I max out the OLED Light and Contrast to compensate for the muted picture, it still doesn't look right. Maybe this tech is better suited for LED due to their ability to get absurdly bright.

I know you're being honest, I don't think you're saying this just to wind people up, and you'll have plenty of bedfellows who just aren't getting the HDR experience that the hype promised them. But at its best this format is amazeballs, to use a technical term.

Did you compare it to the blu ray or just watch it? I felt some shots looked great, especially the nature shots when Forrest was running, and the shot of the sunset on the water when Forrest is talking to Jenny's grave, but as a whole? It looked murky, dark, and at times smeary. I wish I could see it on some other screens for analysis, because on my oled it looked very unimpressive.
