I can also confirm I have today received the German version here in the UK and can also confirm 101 minutes, totally uncut Dolby Vision and Atmos English Subs within lower Black bar for Spanish language parts.
Fantastic

I usually deplore Frankensteining my collection like that but, yeah, you guys make a lot of sense.

Awesome. Do you have to do anything special? Just pick English audio and subtitles off?

Same here. But I love the movie. At least the US cut.

And I bought the Steelbook from eBay for a lot of money, because I hate the German rating logos.

Besides what Andreas wrote, Amazon usually knows their inventory and you most certainly will get your stuff. Especially when it's Amazon-exclusive. That's my experience.

Aw, man. That's subpar. Thank god I do not have a 21:9 screen!

Why do people think this is bad? I vastly prefer this to having the subtitles cover part of the image.

It says you have an OPPO player in your signature, it can shift the subtitles upward as long as they're player generated (and they are in this case)

Aaaaaaaaand JPC won’t let me order it because it’s 18 restricted and they don’t sell 18 titles to overseas territories. Grooves Land doesn’t stock it. Amazon DE doesn’t ship to Australia.

Literally no way to obtain the German 4K until it appears on eBay for inflated prices, yay!

It's funny how some people are never happy no matter what. If you don't have a 21:9 screen, then why even make a fuss? Just to show outrage?

I'm sure you'll be able to get this on ebay at a reasonable price rather sooner than later. No one in their right mind is paying inflated prices for the regular UHD release. Price will know only one way: Down. You just need a little patience.

Tbh, I actually don't see the appeal of the German UHD anyway. I do like me my properly burnt-in subs and can't stand the Flatschen (that's what we call the big rating logo over here). I also didn't really like the movie as it simply was too dull for my liking, but I might still want the extended version for the sake of Rambo-completeness. But I'll just wait for a possible Lionsgate "Extended" release - it's Lionsgate and it's Rambo after all. (bought the US UHD for little money on ebay) If it doesn't happen (which I doubt in particular due to the lack of the deleted scenes), I couldn't care less.

The average joe wouldn’t sell one on eBay unless they turn a profit. What would be the point of buying something off the shelf and flogging it on eBay for the same price, then having to factor in PayPal and eBay fees?

Also, I’ll be converting my Aussie 4K set into a 3-disc edition, and adding the German 4K disc to it. The German case and the regular German Blu-ray will probably just go in the bin.

Eh? I'm importing reasonable priced UHDs quite often on ebay lately for several reasons. ebay is not scalpers-only, especially with regular releases - plenty of fair sellers to be found on ebay as well.

I'm Aussie too. How are you getting the German UHD? I can't find anyone that ships here. Grooves doesn't sell it, and jpc won't ship that title.

Sorry, I didn’t explain that properly. You can get some great prices on eBay, but from registered stores that get stock at wholesale prices. So ImportCDs and blowitoutahere who primarily sell American stock. If you know of any German sellers on eBay that would sell this without markup, please let me know

I’m not, lol. That was the point of my post My only option is getting my family in the Netherlands to forward it to me.

Sorry, but I don't know any shops that ship to Australia. That's also because I don't import to Germany.

With private international ebay sellers, I often can use the Global Shipping Program though. But I can't know if that's available with German sellers when browsing ebay from Germany.

Just the messenger once again: Both the German UHD and BD have a wrong flashback - you're getting a vietnam flashback from the short version instead of the proper prologue flashback (
[Show spoiler]dead hikers
) from the long version: https://www.movieside.de/index.php?t...-4#post-458212

IMO not a big deal, but I thought I'd share it as well.

Oh my, it's becoming more and more complicated these days, to find the one release, that covers it all, that goes for a lot of releases nowadays IMO
