But FWIW, the television cut of Halloween utilized some alternate shots of scenes to mask nudity and violence. The only way to see the footage nowadays is via the original television broadcast.

So it does have some alternate bits. Thank you for the info.

Me too. Aside from a couple autographs I got I also just love the set aesthetically. Nice sturdy box, great artwork, and a cute little booklet.

If you don't mind me asking, can you confirm the audio source used for the Original Mono track for Halloween (1978)? I'm hoping you were able to run a fresh transfer of the 35mm Magnetic Master Soundtrack. Thanks!

Well it was already released before in the bonus disc in the 15 disc limited edition box set but it is great news for those who couldn't afford it or haven't gotten the disc separately on ebay or by other means. But I think you are aware that the added scenes are in DVD quality and the rest of the film is actually HD, right? Just trying to make sure as some might have expected that Shout! Factory restored the negative of the "TV scenes" for a more consistent version rather than a hybrid cut. Still, great news nonetheless.

The previously-released hybrid extended cut had a lot of issues which I personally fixed (music bleed at the start/end of inserted TV scenes, the lack of the mono track, the missing Smith’s Grove 1964 card, etc). I kind of wish I’d known these discs were in the pipeline earlier; I’d have gladly offered SF my edit to use in the new set.

I got that part. I just forgot it was an extra on the big set already. I looked and my dvd is long gone.

I'll be keeping my deluxe boxset but putting these 5 UHD's in place of the original 1-5 in the set. Definitely flipping to the reverse theatrical artwork.

I'm anticipating that 6-8 and RZ1&2 will get the same treatment next year. But if not, I'm happy with this as the new complete collection.
