WB is back to that nonsense? I remember when blu-rays first came out and WB titles would not only default to the lossy audio, but just play the movie without going to the main menu first.

They probably won't change it until later on today, or maybe even tomorrow. I don't know why their online system can't keep up with the rest of the world. They're only the biggest retailer in the world. I guess they don't want to make any money online.

Got to my Best Buy at the moment of opening and there was only a single 4K Steelbook on display! Now I had mine reserved as a pick-up order so, who knows?, maybe several other people did the same thing as me, but if you’re hoping to just drop in soon to grab one off the shelf, I’d suggest moving your ass. If my Best Buy is any indication, this steel is gonna be an instant rarity.

That is odd. Why not just offer Dolby HD which includes the Atmos track in the container.

If you are going to do DTS-HD, just go with DTS:X

Just picked mine up a few minutes ago. Did in store pickup. Looked like they had at least 5 on the front display. I like how the j-card wraps around the spine. Hopefully that's a new thing to help prevent spine slashes.

The collector in me wants the target edition. The viewer wants the 4K. What do we know about the transfer?

I'm sure a lot is riding on it.
This movie made almost 700 mil WW, where's the risk?

Do you have any idea how much you're about to get pounded on here?

And you need 3 copies to be ‘in’ on this release? Scalping, much?

one I'll throw in a box with the rest of storage steelbooks, games, etc. probably won't be worth anything in 30 years anyway.

one I'll watch and open

not sure what I'll do with the other

But anyone whose membership falls after 2007, I was giving away 50+ movie codes and about 50 disney points codes fpr years . So people who weren't OG members their tears fall on deaf ears.

I wonder if the rumored Director's Cut will be released on 4K. If so, Target for theatrical, 4K for the DC. Win win.

Someone has been seen doing that at the one Best Buy in may area that is supposedly sold out... I doubt it's a coincidence. I would've expected that one to get the most copies in my area.

The profit margin on some of these is so small (if any) that I don't know why people bother. The Rogue One's are few and far between. I still don't think this is going to be one of them.

It can still be ordered online.

That's one of the reasons I thought it would be readily available. I told my son he had nothing to worry about, then he showed up later and it was gone. I managed to find him one at another BB, but I was definitely wrong there.

I could end up being wrong here, too, by the end of the day. I still doubt it, but maybe this will end up selling out today.
