Even though vudu is selling the movie in UHD they claim to not have rights to the UHD version and will only give ppl the HD version. Total ripoff imo.

You have to engage flixster video chat support and they'll upgrade the rights in your locker to UHD if you redeemed through VUDU. The first rep emailed me to provide photo proof that it was UHD copy and then I got another chat agent who pulled up my reply and upgraded my rights to UHD and ported to VUDU.

My copy had an indentation next to the T on IT on the slipcover. Almost looked like a pen stabbed it

If you ordered from Amazon you could call and complain. They will send you a new one free of charge. It’s not worth it for them to have you send it back.

I avoided WB altogether and just redeemed on MA. Checked Vudu and I got the UHD copy. Thanks again to whoever posted the tip earlier.

What a stunning picture. Gorgeous. Pitch perfect detail with wonderful colors particularly any daytime scenes with the sun out. I compared a scene with the kids sitting outside bathed in sunlight among the grass and on the blu it just looks dull compared to the UHD. HDR for the win. Quality is top notch to my eyes.

And what a film. I think my favorite part about this film, aside from the outstanding performance of the actor who played Pennywise, are the kids. Absolutely well cast and they gave great performances all around. Can’t wait for Chapter 2!

Just finished watching this for the first time. It made me think back to when I was 10 or 11 when I watched the TV series. I know it's rated "R" but this type of film has more of an impact if you are the age of the actors. The film "Stand By Me" is the same way. It's great but it was so much better when I was younger and could still live in the moment like a child.

All things considered, I enjoyed it and technically I was pleased. The blacks meld into the bars at the top and bottom of the screen. The colors pop and overall picture balance is very nicely done. The Atmos track is one of the better ones that I own. The Audio is top notch but I would say the video isn't on the same level as a film like "Lucy" but I can't imagine it looking much better given the setting and the content of the story.

I was impressed with the acting as well. The script was appropriate but it was the little looks that they give each other that captured the various moments of sarcasm or fear that really sold the performances. Beverly in particular because her character has an emotional mask so it's up to her eyes to really sell the character. Richie Tozier has most of the fun lines and it felt like he was channeling Cory Feldman's character from "Stand By Me" at times. Very well done.

I stopped by my local store just for giggles on my home. I had my delivered today. My local BB had no steels and only 4 4K's left in the entire store. But this was around 7. Not sure how many of each that got in today.

I picked up a Steel book 4K version after work today around 5 in the afternoon. Best Buy still had 3 Steel books and 4 normal 4K versions. They only had 1 standard Blu-ray steel book though.

Stopped in my local Best Buy after I got off work and they still had about 20 of the regular 4k copies left. After a leftover Christmas gift card and selling the digital copy, I picked this up for $1.07.
