I'm looking at best buy page for MI 4k now and it has all 5 for 6/26.

Been a while since I have watched these movies. Which one had the terrible blu transfer? was it 2, 3 or both? Any word if these are getting a new transfer?

The first three had old masters. The fourth and fifth film had strong Blu-ray releases (especially the Best Buy exclusive for Ghost Protocol as it had a separate bonus disc with added extras and more bit-rate room on the film presentation disc).

The first one was awful even a decade ago and had lossy audio. Embarrassing treatment of a film that was that lucrative and launched this cash cow franchise.

Curious to see how they handle the HDR grade on Rogue Nation, I'm surprised that BD doesn't get more crap. Contrast and saturation are crazy overcranked at times, especially reds.

It's Ghost Protocol I'm most interested in, haven't been happy with any BD version I've seen of it.

People seemed to have a lot of issues with the encoding of the US regular retail disc (the Best Buy exclusive having a different encode), I never saw those problems on the UK retail disc though.
