I hate how Target doesn’t do a 4K version of their exclusive digibooks. Like how Best Buy offers their exclusive steelbook as a Standard Blu-ray, or as a 4K/Blu-ray set...

I would bet money that we get an extended or director's cut in November. Right before Aquaman. Theres no other reason why we aren't getting more deleted scenes.

I still have to get the Target Digi and Best Buy Steelbook though. WB will continue to find ways to make this movie some kind of profit.

This 100% confirms Dolby Vision for me.

I'm looking forward to this, because even though it's tonally inconsistent with MoS and BvS (UE), both of which I like, and even though its effects are poor in some areas, it's fun and reminds me of the JL animated series. Oh, and it'll fill my entire screen. As Aquaman would say, yea! By the way, what's that number above Wondy's head?

Probably because they reshot so much of the film with Whedon. There probably isnt much reshot material that was deleted and they are unlikely to release much of the deleted Snyder material. WB has fully embraced the Whedon version. They won't want to release the Snyder deleted material because it could turn people against the Whedon version. Better to leave people wondering what might have been rather than actually showing them what might have been.

Glad we're getting some deleted material, but not having it inserted into the film proper sucks big time.

Yup. Better to put all energy into what's ahead instead of dwelling on mistakes.

Now I'm curious to know if anyone will make a fan edit of BVS that will remove all of the scenes that either weren't paid off or retconned in Justice League, such as the Knightmare scene, the scene of Flash coming to warn Bruce, the DC presskit scene, and the final shot.

Flash's warning was paid off, and I feel the Knightmare scene was as well (showed a warning of a potential future were Apokolips took over Earth, I don't think anyone expected that to actually happen)

But were the Knightmare and Flash scenes in BVS necessary? Did they need to be there?

The Knightmare scenes were great, but the Flash scene sucked. The Flash scene probably would have worked better if he looked better and Snyder got to follow up with it properly in Justice League.

A lot of the fanedits I've heard about already do that, not because they don't get paid off in JL but because they were stupid.

They could be removed and the movie would still work, but they're not as dispensable as the Justice League teaser scenes which are there only to set up the cinematic universe plans.

The Knightmare and Flash scenes also served to give Bruce a grave sense of impending danger and mistrust of Superman, with him interpreting it as an omen, that "you were right about him" - so it was more straw on the camel's back.

I agree, all the stuff with the Justice League files didn't need to be there, and their placement actually impedes on the flow of the film. I would had Diana opening the files as a separate bonus scene after the credits.

So funny they used a Snyder image of Cyborg and not the Joss Whedon reshoot this just shows Warner Bros don't know what they're doing.

They need to be removed completely.
