And people want Scream to do the Nightmare, I Know, and Scream series. Ha.

I enjoyed this again in 4K and may just for fun, watch the broadcast TV version on Halloween Eve.

Compression balls aside, your comps show that the Shout master is a noticeable improvement in colour and brightness.

*Record Scratch* Yep, that's me... all snuggied up, ready to watch my new Shout Factory UHD, then this guy aloop shows up, screen caps in hand, and starts strangling me out of nowhere mumbling under his cheap [but better than Part 4] mask about SDR Conversion, Dean Cundey and 2018 Lionsgate discs. Now I'm back on the Internet googling dinosaurs and buying old Halloween sets from wetmovie1, Thorn doesn't exist.

To be fair... I never mentioned Dean Cundey . Still, you should enjoy the disc! Don't let some stupid screenshots sour your enjoyment.

I wonder why the screencaps from HDD looked essentially compression-free? Is it just because they were lower-res JPGs? They looked beautiful to me. And why did Shout apply the compression as seen in aloops screencaps when Lionsgate didn’t? I’m just curious. I think the colors and grain on HDD’s caps of this new disc look fantastic.

No, Scream does not appear to have issues any shipping notifications to people. Maybe early next week

Shit. The amount of criticism up in here, you’d think folks watch the film under a magnifying glass actively looking for faults rather than enjoying the movie themselves.

Amazon told me this particular one wouldn't arrive until October 25th. Changed it to Walmart, the same price and should arrive by the 9th. 2, 4, and 5 still don't have shipping dates.

Just go with it. Reading these comments is more entertaining than almost everything on television. Fix yourself a drink and enjoy!

Received this today

When we were first planning for these releases, we had hoped that supply chain pressures would ease up by the late summer of this year. Reality has been somewhat less forgiving, and we’ve been experiencing issues shipping from China, the European Union, and Mexico to get all of the parts together for these collectible offers.

The good news is that everything has turned out even better than we expected when it comes to the pins, the vinyl, and the embossed slipcases featuring our newly commissioned artwork. We’re also delighted by the picture quality of our new 4K transfers for all five of the films, and we hope you’ll enjoy them, as well.

The posters for these releasees have been printed, the enamel pins have arrived, and we have started to receive the 7” vinyl into our warehouse. The one piece we are still waiting on to arrive is the 7” vinyl for the original Halloween. This has shipped from the European Union and is scheduled for delivery in the US within the next few days. This delay has kept us from being able to ship the most popular of the Halloween offers.

We will know the precise delivery date for the outstanding 7” in the next couple of days. Once it has arrived in the United States, our warehouse has a truck ready to drive to the import terminal, pick up the goods, and bring them back so we can start shipping orders out as soon as possible.

All the best,

Shout

Hmmm, I guess I didn't receive this because I didn't order the vinyl bundle, just the movies + posters. Regardless, thank you for sharing. At least some people are hearing from Scream on this

I'm not sure I understand this. What about those of us who just ordered the regular releases with posters? Why not ship those out?

It’s by no fault of their own. The disc isn’t perfect in the sense of being flawless. However it is a near perfect presentation and probably the best there will be for this release.

While it does feature legitimate issues regarding compression and video artifacts of such. Only that, I won’t lose sleep over it. Nor will be eyes pick up on said anomalies when viewing the disc on my 43” Crystal UHD screen from five feet away in a darkened room.

Beats me! But it does basically confirm my theory that they are now trying to have everything ship out at once instead of staggering shipping orders by bundle types which we were led to believe.
