No playback issues for me, despite loose discs. The 4K discs for H1 and H2 were rattling around when I got each of them last week, but neither had any visible scratches and both played just fine. In fact 4K H1 has played fine multiple times.

Yes, because that's exactly what I said. Also, this disc is NOT T2, and even injecting that abortion of a release into a conversation about this one is ridiculous.

Best Buy has had an overwhelming amount of loose discs in store as of late. Steelbooks especially I am noticing this with. Are they forgetting to pop the discs into place during manufacturing?

I'm not sure, but the same thing happened with the recent Star Trek movie 4K set, and it seemed by the language on Amazon's order page that the same thing was going to happen with this release.

That's why I ordered from Best Buy. I didn't order my copy of Halloween until this past Saturday and it's already arriving today.

Well, BB only had the first one left in stock, just one. Nabbed it on the spot. I've no 4k capabilities yet, but the blu ray easily smokes the 35th ann. edition. The colors as far as I can remember is way more spot on. Though I guess the BD wouldn't quite stack up to the UHD, I can't imagine it being that big of a leap. Overall, this seems about as definitive as you can get on the BD format, though according to some folks on here the UHD has... issues?

Default I bought both H1 and H2 at BB

and both had the discs loose inside too. No playback problems for me though. And for those curious, it seems H3-H5 isn’t in BB stores at all and only online (which is now sold out). Either stores will get stock later on or it will be for online ordering only. I didn’t even expect BB to have any of these in store given Shout releases are more rare for BB to carry when first released so it was a welcome surprise to get H1 and H2 right away.

Preordered parts 1 through 5 (discs/posters only, no vinyl or pins) directly from Shout on July 7th. 3 months ago. Still no sign of shipping. The status just says "Order Taken" like it did the day I ordered.

The reasons they give for the delay seem to do with the vinyls and that discs-only should already be shipping. Nevertheless, mine aren't. Makes one question the point of pre-ordering.

That's a shame to hear. I'm all for giving places some leeway because of COVID, etc. - but if I had pre-ordered from Shout, I would be upset as well. I mean, they still haven't shipped your 5 discs that I've already walked into a store and bought.

Ditto here. First time using them, and it’s been a great experience. Packaging was great! Everything in perfect shape. No sales tax is quite the nice perk as well.

Amazon's dropped the ball on release dates too many times. I'm notw ordering from best buy as my default for movies

If anyone dropped the ball, it’s Shout. They released the ****ing thing and haven’t shipped.

Also had these ordered from shout on July 6th with no movement yet. I ordered all 5 with the posters no pins or vinyl's and they claim the pins and vinyl's were the reason for the hold up

Don't blame them for supply chain issues. This failure rests on much bigger shoulders than home video labels.
