Since this pandemic began I’ve just told myself not to expect anything on time when ordering movies, preorder or not. I either get it in person or order and just wait and hope it at least shows up in one piece. I love getting movies on new release day and I don’t blame people who are frustrated with the issues, but sadly it is what it is.

Plus, I got so much shit to watch I can wait lol.

The reasons they give for the delay seem to do with the vinyls and that discs-only should already be shipping. Nevertheless, mine aren't. Makes one question the point of pre-ordering.

I had a feeling that might happen, I pre-ordered the first day from Amazon and since then I've cancelled three of them as I picked up 1 and 2 from Best Buy and 3 from Zia. Still waiting on 4 which should come next week.

Forgive me if I missed someone else pointing this out already, but here's another undeniable example of the Shout scan yielding more detail. Check out the horizontal lines in the field right next to the bottom right of the Haddonfield sign.

I’m fully aware we are going through some shit. I deal with supply chain issues both real and imaginary on a daily basis. I was merely responding to a poster who had issues with them dropping the ball. Anyone who has ordered anything from Amazon recently knows they have major holdups.
My issue with Shout is the contradictory emails they sent out.

I don't know if Lionsgate sharpened the 40th Anniversary 4K UHD, but it looks much sharper and has a lot more contrast than the Scream Factory 4K.
Not saying one is better than the other, but there is a stark difference when comparing the two. SF looks more like an SDR presentation with subtle hints of HDR scattered throughout. The LG is straight HDR in your face almost the whole time.

Yup, and I'm honestly not really upset. I'd just like to know when I'm getting them as I was planning on having a few friends over for drinks and to screen them before 10/31 so I definitely hope to have them within the next week.

No doubt, which is why I haven't contacted Shout at all. It is odd though that third-party online retailers and Best Buy managed to get plenty of copies when Shout's preorders from 3 months ago aren't being fulfilled. Again, I'm just talking about the discs themselves. I didn't order the vinyls or pins, which they've explained are backed up.

There are some people on Twitter truly melting down over the issue. I'm not. I'm just very slightly annoyed at best, like a 2 on a scale from 1-10. I'm mostly posting to procrastinate from some work I should be doing. haha.

Yeah, I don’t understand why they’re not just shipping out the UHD-only orders. They explained that for those who ordered the most deluxe bundle, they don’t want to ship things piecemeal because they’ve designed the packaging in such a way that it all fits together securely, etc. But what’s stopping them from just sending the UHD orders if that’s all a customer ordered?

I no longer pre-order things with the expectation of it being shipped on release date or sooner. I do it because now things sell out before the release date ever arrives. It's not great, but that seems to be the way it goes these days.

Just checked My UPS and see a label printed from KY Clark & Riggs. Pretty sure that's Shout since they said the uber-deluxe with Pins & Vinyl would be coming UPS. *fingers crossed*

Canceled Halloween 1978 from my Amazon order picked it up at Best Buy …they had 3 copies. Fye had one copy no others. Just got email from Amazon stating 2 thru 5 October 23!!!!!! Jeez
