The current disc is like a collection of bits saying "you do it". ![]() It's still well worth seeing, but take it into account when double dipping (but there's nothing better yet, either). Last edited by oddbox83; 10-29-2021 at 06:38 PM. |

Paramount has so far not removed digital copies like Warner does. Warner only prints "digital copy" on the slipcover so they can remove that and also the digital copy. But you'll notice Paramount prints "digital copy" on the case insert.

It's likely an artifact of the restoration process to cleanup grain when they erase dirt and scratches. They probably went too aggressive with their digital tools. You can sometimes catch the same motion smearing with "My Fair Lady." Also a Paramount release.

Amazon charged me for my Steelbook. And what's more surprising is that they honoured the £20 miss price. Hopefully I will get this tomorrow. I love that this includes the 1920's silent movie, as I never got around to watching it.

Just wondering if you received your Steelbook yet and if you could post up some photos.

Is this eye candy or what? I saw alot of people complaining. Is the 1.78 aspect ratio glorious? I'm about to hit that Best Buy checkout button!

You're not going to watch a 1920 silent movie, and I don't know anybody who would. That movie is 101 years old, and your parents probably wasn't even born.

![]() It looks to be an artifact from the restoration process when they were removing grain to get to the scratch, dirt, hair, tear removal process. They went a little overboard on the DNR and de-graining part. That leaves motion ghost trails when someone is moving quickly, like arms and legs. Paramount's 4k restoration of My Fair Lady has this too, but not at the same level and not as often. |

My grandparents weren't even born when a reasonable chunk of my collection was made. And it includes some of my favourite films. |
