Shout didn't apply noise reduction, it's just Lionsgate's had additional sharpening noise

Shout's is better overall despite some minor encode snafus, the color timing is much closer to the original prints than Lionsgate's and is overall more film like

Also despite it being filtered, it has the theatrical mono track and Lionsgate's did not

That was odd, I was replying to the free codes thread, but when I posted, it posted to this thread. So odd, and the thread was a combo of both threads smooshed together? Some internet trickery. Anyway, carry on!

Love this weird atmosphere that everyone is beholden to picking a disc like some kind of Harry Potter nerd ceremony. There's definitely going to be another option released elsewhere besides Shout's. Remains to be seen if it'd be a better one, but the writing is on the wall.

I think everyone's said their piece already by now.

Since Shout hasn't shipped yet, I'm strongly considering canceling my Shout order, which included the exclusive posters and order all 5 4K films through Amazon.

Are people doing this?

Good luck with this one! I've ordered three Halloween movies from SF (not because of the exclusive posters) and I've sent them an email a week ago in regards to canceling my order, and I haven't received a response from as yet. I don't know if they've read my email and canceled the order, or it's still being processed to ship which I don't want.. I am not going to order anything else directly from Shout Factory anymore because, it's impossible to get in contact with them whenever you need to. I've order two movies from Bullmoose and they're on the way, and the other two from Amazon.

I emailed Shout and politely asked if they could give me a time frame of when my order might ship. I purchased all 5 movies + the posters.

They replied back and said they fully expect the warehouse to ship all orders by the end of the weekend.

If you dont have it yet i would sign up for UPS my choice, its free and you can check when a label has been created for orders you are expecting. My label was created today and says i should have my order Tuesday.

day is basically over,if you haven’t received. a tracking number by know then don’t expect them to ship out till monday the earliest

Is the 4K transfer similar to the 35th Anniversary Edition? Or is the color tweaked to make the outdoor scenes look bright and orange, like the original AB Blu-ray?

The new edition looks like Christmas. And there's a frame of Sexy Michael inserted subliminally toward the end, which John Carpenter always wanted.

I think the 4Ks + posters are coming USPS and most post offices are open on Saturdays. Here in Philly my local post office is open till 3:00 PM. So, perhaps the peeps at Shout could be putting in some extra hours tomorrow to get some of these out the door.

If not, next week it is. I waited two years for HALLOWEEN KILLS. Waiting another week or so for 5 movies I readily have at my finger tips to watch at any given time isn't going to have me foaming at the mouth.

I was just inquiring with Shout when my order might ship because of the previous email I received.
