Just got mine. Surprisingly both films included a digital code. This is definitely the better buy.

My grandparents weren't even born when a reasonable chunk of my collection was made. And it includes some of my favourite films.
Slimdude has lots of issues, and for whatever reason, his slim brain can't comprehend anyone watching movies he's not interested in, especially older titles. He's ranted that no one actually likes silent or old movies (or any movie from before the watcher was born), and that people just pretend to like these older movies for whatever reason his narrow mind rationalizes.

Slim is always deadly serious. And that’s the joke.

Just received my SteelBook from Best Buy. Light glossy finish, no embossing/debossing, but they used reflective paint for the writing of the commandments on the tablets and the fringes of Moses' white hair. It's a subtle touch that made me smile.

The digital code is attached to Rameses on the back side, underneath the J-card. You get a 4K code for the 1956 film on one side and an HD code for the 1923 film on the other.

Each of the four discs inside gets its own hub, with a double-sided swinging tray in the middle. The weight of the discs plus the steel makes this feel quite substantial in the hand. I wish we'd had this purchase option from the beginning, but I'm satisfied and now finally done purchasing this movie. (DVD, Blu-ray LE boxset, initial 4K release, 4K SteelBook.)

I think my grandma had the double-VHS set, along with ones for Doctor Zhivago, Ben-Hur, and a few others. She didn't have an awesome setup (just a large console TV in a fantastically heavy real wood cabinet), but she was the first movie collector I knew. I think before I started buying my own movies I would usually just watch The Ten Commandments on Easter Sunday on ABC. Five hours, I think, with commercials?

I bought this when I saw it in walmart because my dad loved this movie. I remember him watching it one day and I couldnt sit still and watch with him because i was bored out of my mind. He really liked the actors in the movie and I just thought it was boring old stuff.

Looking forward to watching it as an adult and seeing what he saw in it back then
