Follow the thread. There is almost zero fine detail difference between the two and the colors are actually really close between the BD and the 4K. Easy choice. The most noticeable difference is the grain is sharper on the 4K. But what image detail is gained, almost nothing.

I had not seen this film in a few years, so when I saw the face shot in this, it seemed so much more...clearer than past versions? Again, I'm not a mega fan of this movie, so I'm not well versed in all the versions of this, but was that shot always so revealing? I remember it being a lot darker--in this cut you can see Michael's face clear as day, or maybe it's just how I have my TV calibrated?

It seems that I'm the only one that absolutely HATES part 3... Thankfully, we can at least ALL agree that it doesn't belong in the series... ![]() |

Mono on this is the same filtered-but-correct original track that's been included on every Blu-ray release of Halloween that got it right. The laserdisc mono sounds better (less filtered) but hasn't been used on any release since the 90's.

If Shout is able to release the two Rob Zombie movies, they absolutely need to include the infamous Workprint that leaked a few months before the movie hit theaters. I love that version of the film.

They have been carrying this release at the Barnes & Noble locations in my area. Has a 30% discount too.
