Has anybody found a steelbook protector that fits the type of hardcase the Shout 4k comes in? Trying to avoid shelf wear and tear since it has that matte finish to it.

Amen! I always hated that about Loomis. A failure in his position and a disgrace to the profession.

While I agree about it not being very professional, I understand it as a "desperate times call for desperate measures" sort of thing.

Indeed. Loomis was pretty spot on in his assessment. I’m just saying that it’s believable that his colleagues wouldn’t share his feelings.

I think Dr. Hoffman in H4 put it nicely: "his position is more ceremonial than medical."

Hey, give the guy a break. He spent eight years trying to reach him.

DVD sized Steelbook style collector cases work, you just have that little extra space on the top, it's what I'm currently using now for all 5 as I had a ton of extras leftover from when I sleeved a bunch of Playstation 2 games. Another member said there's some Steelbook BD cases from the UK that fit them perfectly (they are made for larger lenticular slips). I've since lost the eBay link because they were too expensive for me to order with the international shipping (shipping was more than the item!). Maybe that person can chime in with the link again.

It's good enough for me!

Glad you asked, maybe this will help clear it up. IF she didn't put the knife down...maybe just maybe she would have been able to kill him. Or list 20 other things she could have done then maybe just maybe the movie could have had a different outcome such as her saving all her friends where no one ended up dead. Maybe if she did something different with the knife, Michael would have been dead.

What if they tried Michael as an adult when he killed his sister? Oh wait, they didn't do things like that back in 1963, so that wouldn't have been possible, but what if they did? Oh wait, Michael was only 6 at the time and there's no way they could try him as an adult but maybe if someone wishes hard enough it might change the way the movie was made. What then at that point if they made an exception and hung him at 6 years old?

There'd be no movie. It is what it is because of the way it's written. If Michael was killed off during the first 20 minutes of the first movie, then...except for his sister; everything would have ended happily for everyone, but that doesn't make a movie.

The fact people make dumb mistakes/poor choices in these types of movies is what makes the movie.

Have you not seen the Geico Horror Movie Commercial?

If they had gotten into the running car at the very start, then there would not be a scary Geico Horror Movie Commercial.

JJ doesn't usually need to digitally exaggerate the lens flares, he literally has people off to the side shining flashlights into the lens!

I see, that can cause debates that can last forever but fun. My favorite one is was HAL malfunctioning or was it programmed that way as described in "2010: The Year We Make Contact" (1984?)

Correct! Otherwise it would have less chance making money at the box office.

Discussing the plot is one thing, questioning it is another. At least I have my answer ready!

My suspension of disbelief happens at the very first frame of every movie! Unless it's shot in HFR.

True, but then the movie might not make as much money.

In the movie universe that could very well establish that nothing bad ever happens in such a small innocent town so much so that even if the alarm is heard by everyone it must be on by accident so it's ignored. OR, it's a foreshadowing that something will go terribly wrong and no one will recognize it when it does happen.

I don't but I wish I sincerly wish I did, haha. My only assumption is that they either don't want to lose whatever money 4K is bringing in for them or they just don't see the value in licensing out for 4K releases.

For what it's worth, I know they're not the only major studio that has this policy. Warner Bros. is also very selective about their 4K masters. Sometimes they'll do 4K masters for boutique labels (In the Mouth of Madness for Scream!) and other times, they'll only allow a 2K master (Enter the Dragon for Criterion's Bruce Lee box set).
