No, but there is reportedly one or two DV UST DLPs at least overseas.

I'm still down-rezzing all my 4K discs to my 2010-era 1080p SDR projector. Even when they're down-rezzed, they look way better than their BD counterparts; and I've spent a lonnnng time doing A/B comparisons. When it comes to discs like Scream Factory's H1978 and H1981, I'm guessing my Oppo 203 is baking in the DolbyVision "fixes" before making the conversion, so there's no trace of any of the HDR10 artifacts or compression issues. And by the way, I'm not even considering an upgrade any time soon. For a 92-inch screen and my taste in an image that resembles an actual film-print (delivered at the old standard of 16 foot-lamberts), my home theater delivers everything I've ever wanted.

it looks far better in dolby vision so if you have that capability I suggest watching that over hdr10

That's something I still don't get re: the Dobly on your display, but it's a fun puzzle to solve. As you can't get DV discs to run at 1080p24 (whereas I can do that just fine with my own OPPO and DV discs) but they're forced out at 1080p60 then yeah, it's gotta be doing something with it. Would love to get a rundown of your OPPO settings sometime, maybe I'll schlep the OPPO to another room with just a 1080p TV and see what it does.

Not a lot I can do with the Oppo settings once it's a DV disc, in my eccentric down-rez situation. The DV-ness of it grays everything out. Can't select nits or "mode" like I can with HDR10-only discs.

Only two in China so far that I know of: Xiaomi Laser Cinema 2 and Formovie Fengmi T1. I bet they're awesome but they're quite expensive and it would be such a hassle to deal with if something went wrong. Projectors have a high infant mortality rate so it's not something I'd be comfortable taking a chance on even if I could afford it.

I'm sure we'll see models with DV certification over here eventually but it may be a while. We're just now at the point where projectors can do a reasonable job handling HDR content in general, so it's still really early days for the format.

Yeah and I don't know how possible it is to have these standards on a projector or if they need a different spec?

Dolby Vision mastering display requires.

EOTF: PQ
Peak brightness: at least 1,000 cd/m2
Black level: at most 0.005 cd/m2
Contrast ratio: at least 200,000:1
Color gamut: at least 99% of P3

Projectors have unique calibration so...yeah seems hype because HDR is based of making pixels go beyond SDR250 if I've been reading but old projector SDR is 48-nits DV projectors 108-nits. Uhm LOL a 60 nit difference. I think it's apples and oranges. That was kinda my point people going bananas for DV on disc 1000-4000 nits but how is a Bulb gonna do this from afar on a projector screen it's just silly marketing hype to me. 2 different beasts and someone saying well the DV looks great on my OLED but HDR is botched and if you love cinema you want to watch these on a projector or not. Iphones DV OLEDs 12's and up are the future Ya'll know what I mean. Rant done. SOunds like they need a super multi-laser projector if I had to guess. Maybe projectors are becoming a thing of the past....

Hopefully next year for the 45th anniversary there will be yet another 4K release, this time with the unfiltered mono. ;-D

I have a 75" and it doesn't give the immersion of the projector. If I wanted similar immersion, which would require being VERY close to the screen, I would have sound and dialog coming at me near my knees as any speakers have to be to the sides of the screen, not having sound come from within the screen. This is the big deal breaker.

Is this likely the final physical release for this film since UHD is the last physical media?

Highly doubt it. I'm sure it will get another physical release for the 45th and 50th anniversary.

Final or not, it's the last one I'm ever buying. It has everything I need. I lucked out and missed the boat on the last set and only ever owned the first Anchor Bay disc.

If you're seriously waiting for something better I'd say it's gonna be a long wait. The only thing I can foresee is them packaging all the films in another set, but I just don't see that happening when they just did deluxe box treatments on the first five films, and there's a strong indication they have three more to put out.
