Actually you're both wrong. Fellow editor here, and that TC is actually 9 minutes into Reel 2 (hence the hour 2) - so about 32 minutes into the feature overall. It's the scene where Diana visits Bruce in the Batcave.

Studios sometimes finish these things up for home video, sometimes they don't. Hardly a smoking gun but hey, go for it.

I LOVE the Williams score, it's absolutely legendary. But it's still very strange for me to hear it slapped onto this version of Supes because I simply don't identify one with the other, I get goosebumps from hearing the Zimmer theme. Superman got on fine without Williams' work prior to 1978 and he can get on just fine without it in the future, Warners shoehorning that in there is about them trying to pander to the audience rather than letting this version of the film stand on its own, but then that's what them reshooting the shit out of JL was all about.

I don't think it is completed. But I do think it is much further along than most will admit. I think a very real conversation has been had by WB executives about finishing it. If they can make a profit, and build more excitement for Aquaman, then it WILL get released.

If it was far from being finished, then Snyder would have 100% come out on social media and say so to his fans. He would do it to keep a relationship with WB. David Ayer kept his mouth shut and claimed the theatrical cut as his own to make sure he doesn't burn any bridges. Snyder has been liking tweets, making statements with fans about wanting to finish his version, and generally keeping quiet about the situation. If he went out on his own and claimed the movie was butchered and awful, then WB would never allow him back to finish. He knows how studios work, and he loves his fans. He will finish the movie if he is given the opportunity.

But I cannot stop seeing female genitals all over the place in this deleted scene. Kryptonians were perverts...

You're right. Zimmer's score isn't iconic. It's transcendent . It is pure art.

I don't think they will release an Extended Cut or Snyder Cut anytime soon when Aquaman comes out Warner Bros will re release the same Theatical version with movie cash to see Aquaman in theaters that's all.

I actually might wait for that inevitable movie cash release, or at least until the UHD goes on sale. I like the cover of the Best Buy Steelbook but the inside/back art is meh, and I don't wanna drop $35 for this. Oh well. Already skipped Suicide Squad's Steelbook so I can get away with a plain ol' slipcover on Justice League.

I hope you are wrong. Movie cash will likely happen, but I really have a feeling that an extended cut will get released this year

The phallic imagery was intentional on Syder's part I believe, according to the behind the scenes. Since Kryptonians shunned reproduction through normal means, you see their sexuality explored through architecture of their civilization instead.

I do hope I am wrong but given Warner Bros past re releases with Dark Knight Trilogy and DCEU films they don't do Extended Cuts or even new transfers.

I thought he was just inspired by HR Giger. Zod's suit in MoS in particular was clearly influenced by Giger's Alien designs. Giger also used a lot of obvious sexual imagery in his art.

My girlfriend at the time started laughing out loud at that scene the first time she saw it. I think she saw what you saw.

Actually.... 2 of the 4 DCEU movies have extended cuts (BvS & SS). The other 2(MoS & WW) were claimed by the director as the intended release. Neither of those had any production turmoil either. Before that, Green Lantern got an extended cut. The Dark Knight trilogy was released as intended (WB doesn't have the balls to cut Nolan's movies. We also have multiple cuts of Superman The Movie, and the Donner Cut of Superman II.

WB has even come out and said that their answer to after credits sequences was to release extended cuts.

Judging by their history, I would say there is a very high chance of getting an extended cut.

Outside the DCEU, WB loves to release multiple versions.

Watchmen - 3 Cuts
Sucker Punch - 2 Cuts
Alexander - 3 Cuts
Troy - 2 Cuts
Blade Runner - 3 Cuts
Harry Potter 1 & 2 - 2 Cuts
Lord of the Rings Trilogy - 2 Cuts
The Hobbit Trilogy - 2 Cuts
Teminator Salvation - 2 Cuts
King Kong(2005) - 2 Cuts
The Town - 2 Cuts
Argo - 2 Cuts
Zodiac - 2 Cuts

And many more. Remember, if there is money to be made, we WILL get an extended/Director's Cut. Or both. I think it would be interesting to see Whedons cut before the 2hr mandate. But not at the expense of the Snyder Cut. Only if we are getting a Blade Runner/Alexander situation

Thanks for the examples I am actually glad Batman V Superman got a Extended Cut released at the same time as the Theatical version on Blu-ray and not later and now thinking about it I do think Justice League will get a Extended Cut like Suicide Squad and not a Snyder Cut because it will make the studio look bad but I really want to know how different was David Ayer's Cut of Suicide Squad.

I have no doubt that we will be getting some sort of extended cut. Whedon has distanced himself from the movie, and probably didn't film enough to call it a director's cut. He is also not listed as a director either.

But if Snyder's cut is far enough along, I don't think it is that far of a stretch to get a release. I have never seen such a huge outcry from a fanbase. I am not sure if there ever has been. When Fan4stic came out a mess, everyone just said give it back to marvel. There wasn't a 170k signiture petition for Rogue One.

This may be history in the making. The Black Suit deleted scene may have been released just to check audience reaction. Why else would they release part of the only deleted scene from the Blu-ray. That one scene is the bait to get us fans to buy this version now.

I hope to one day see Ayers "actual" finished cut. I don't think it will fix the movie though. The problems started with the script. It should not have been an end of the world senario. It should have been a smaller scale action heist. That would have cut the budget in half. But almost always, the Director's cut is superior.

While I have not seen it, someone who did found it far superior. Going by memory...Longer car chase w/Batman, more Joker (with a more codependent, slightly abusive relationship), grittier, more serious tone. No introductory computer graphics, fewer music tracks. I was told it was more like a movie and less like a cartoon/music video.
