Personally I'd rather them keep trying to get the Rob Zombie films in 4K since Lionsgate won't do anything with them.
I'd imagine with Lions Gate Limited series we may probably get them on 4K at some point. But yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath on it. I would order them immediately if they did. Along with "Basic Instinct." Right now the price alone for "Basic Instinct" is fair, but with shipping not so much. Need them to release better titles worthy of purchasing. "The Third Man" would be awesome if they just lower the price. Can't justify paying over $20 for it. Sadly, they F'd up "Kick-Ass" by not porting over all the previous extras. Plus, it would be a semi-blind buy. Saw the sequel in theaters, but never the first, but been interested since.

Last I know was that Lionsgate had the rights, but they expired at the same time they did in the US. Since then, it's been radio silence from all the usual suspects. idk why, but I just have a gut feeling they're with Arrow over there now. Please don't mock me in the future if I'm horribly wrong.

There's the possibility that rights are the issue (with the TV cut being on it) but no one knows 100% for sure why its being excluded. Though apparently H2 is keeping its third disc.

The Film (Theatrical Version - Original Blu-ray Color Timing Version) (91:30)
The Film (Extended TV Version) (101:08)
The Film (Broadcast TV Version) (97:54) (SD)
"Halloween: A Cut Above The Rest" 2003 documentary (HD, 87:07)
Vintage Interview with Producer Moustapha Akkad (SD, 1:17)
"Horror's Hallowed Grounds: The Locations of Halloween" featurette (SD, 20:40)
"Horror's Hallowed Grounds Bus Tour" featurette (HD, 11:27)

That's everything that is on the third disc. Probably just rights issues with something on it, so they're dropping the disc completely.

What's frustrating is before they went heavy into the 4K game, basically during Cliff's reign, they were all about upgrading for their steelbook rereleases. There would almost always be a new 4K transfer or updated audio or maybe just a new interview, but at least something to make it worth upgrading outside of a new case.

Totally.

I'd like to see them use rarer vintage art. Like this UK poster design. Nice, although the shatner mask is clearly off model. (Looks like they pasted a photo of Chuck Morris's head onto the painting of the shape) But I suppose that preserves the reveal in the movie itself. The goofy dripping blood and thumb print are funny.

Various UK posters all seem to share the same lettering. Which is kinda cool.

Are these gonna be the big Halloween announcements this year? I thought someone would have dropped the Zombie films by now.

Are they just putting the disk 3 features into disk 2? So If I bought this and not shouts 3 disk and i missing any features?

It looks like Amazon does have 3 disk for part 2, so only missing the extra disk for part one.. im new into collecting and I don’t have any of these, looks like ill get shouts part 1 and amazon part 2, although I do like having them all black as shout has, I dont care if it has the slip or not, Im just a extra features guy and want the one with the most.

Both the 4K Shout covers and the new steel book covers are the shits, however what ultimately matters is how the film looks. I personally prefer the orange "fall" look but the Shout 4K disc looks wonderful to me.

That would explain why he can't be killed by conventional means.

I remember saying the Shout art was a big letdown when the hardcases came out, but it seemed like people were defending the art back then, now people seem to say the art sucks, which I find funny. I actually came around a bit and don't mind the art now, it doesn't suck, but it's not amazing. At least all the damn boxes match for the most part. But nothing beats having the plain cases on the shelf with the covers flipped.

I only have 1-3. I never had any issues with the art. I like all 3 of them, especially H3.

I only have 1-3 too and have grown to like the art. The slipbox is still the cherry on top.
