Yeah, it only makes sense for someone that wants to buy all of them at once, and doesn't care about getting the slip boxes and them all not matching.

It's probably not gonna be anytime soon. Halloween has always been a good seller. I'm actually surprised that Lionsgate let the license lapse in the first place.

Not to mention that SF have literally had Halloween II and III licensed since the start of the line.

It does suck that there's still issues, and maybe we'll see an overseas label improve on those areas later. But in complete fairness, this release is by far the best the movie's had, and until something improves on it, it is a worthwhile release.

I've seen Halloween 4 out in the wild recently with the slipcover, and I've also seen Halloween with no slip at all.

I should note that I don't plan on picking up 4 and 5, I am just curious since it seems to be a mixed bag on social media and reviews on if the slipcover/boxes are still available after all this time (with 1-5.) I'm assuming the slipbox for Elvira's Haunted Hills is permanent, given that its still showing it on its photo and isn't listed under the "limited edition slipcovers."

If I were you, I'd wait for a sale.

If you buy all the releases individually on Amazon right now (EXCEPT for 4, as Amazon is currently just out of stock) it comes to around $184 - about $100 cheaper than Shouts upcharged bundle.

(Looks like they pasted a photo of Chuck Morris's head onto the painting of the shape) But I suppose that preserves the reveal in the movie itself. The goofy dripping blood and thumb print are funny.

Various UK posters all seem to share the same lettering. Which is kinda cool.

I really like that third poster.

As for the 4ks, I took mine out of the slips/boxes and put them in the bluray boxset. Seems weird they never did a box for the 4K releases.

I have all of them in the hard boxes when they were released except for 3, they don't bother me that much as long as you can reverse and get the original artwork and I have the Lionsgate steelbook, then 2018 and Kills, and then a steelbook collection of DGG trilogy

I finally checked out the extended HD cut with SD inserts on the disc 3 in the Shout set. I have never seen these extra scenes before. I actually yelped over the silk blouse lore, I had no idea that's why Linda tells him not to rip it later on. Though without the extra scene I just think it's Linda's expensive blouse and no big deal. I thought the extended bridge scene with Loomis after the opening was a nice touch, it made his introduction with nurse Chambers more familiar. However later on when Loomis is giving the blackest eyes speech it serves to fill in this same backstory on his history with Michael for the most part so the earlier scene feels like it should have been cut as to not explain something twice. Probably won't watch this cut again, it's a much better movie than the TV cut of Halloween II but that cut makes me laugh since the editing is so backwards in some spots it becomes a meme.

I mean since those extra scenes were shot in 1981 and not in 1978 there was only so much John Carpenter could do to pad Halloween for a two hour TV run with commercials. The TV cut served more as a "bridge" between Halloween 1978 and Halloween II which was getting released the same date. October 30, 1981
The extra scene about the blouse is hilarious tho they clearly had Jamie Lee Curtis on a towel due her haircut & she probably didn't want put on the wig, and the house it's a sneak peek at the *real* interior of the Elm Street house.
Edit: emphasis on "real", as Wes Craven mostly used a set for the living room scenes in Nightmare on Elm Street. But Nancy's room is the same room where Annie calls Laurie for the blouse. John Carpenter used the house for it's full advantage lol

I'm really sorry, I made that as a joke in the Arrow thread, thought people would realize it was fake

Might try to sell them on this site first.

eBay’s fees are getting close to 20% it seems!
