I think we can be glad this is with New Line. WB just announced Annabelle: Creation, and...no UHD BD in sight, despite over $100 million at the domestic box office and almost $300 million total.

I wonder how much a major studio horror film has to make to get on UHD BD. It's very bizarre, considering that classic horror has done stunningly well on 1080p Blu-ray.

Annabelle and The Conjuring movies are New Line also. The only NL title that has a 4K release is Central Intelligence.

If this doesn't get a 4K release here in the states its a definite conclusion WB detests horror to be put out on 4K.

I would not be surprised if the entire world gets this except America. Even tiny countries are getting releases we can't get here. I may have to import but we still have time so I can wait and see what happens.

This will absolutely get a 4K release in the States.

It's the highest grossing horror film of all time. Likely to make over $600-million worldwide, or at least close to it. With the majority of its success happening domestically.

Warner Bros would be beyond stupid to not release this in UHD.

Warner Bros. has one of the strongest big Studio horror brackets in Hollywood, so why they have yet to push higher priced 4K horror for the home video market puzzles me. Maybe they don't expect there to be a relation between low-budget horror and audiences willing to pay for premium experiences.

Hope It changes things.

New Line is owned by Warner Bros. ALL those titles are released by the parent company (that being WB).

Not a "brain fart" since New Line is owned by Warner Bros.

This better get a 4K release in the states or I'm definitely going to import it. Saw it for the 2nd time at the theater this past week and loved it just as much, if not more than the first time I saw it 2 weeks ago.

This would be an awful title to import, You go looking for "IT" in your collection and it translated to something silly on the spine

Same. Would love Dolby Vision on it as well that's probably asking too much haha

HMV has an exclusive Steelbook, unfortunately no 4K but I was wondering whether I should cancel my 4K BD pre-order and get this. Trying to be more selective when it comes to 4K upscales.

I don't know why Warner is alienating 4K like this.
