I keep forgetting that I have a Blu-ray double pack of the more modern Punisher films. I've seen chunks of them on TV, but I still haven't seen them in their entirety. The late 80s film with King Dolph bangs hard, though.

That's the 2004 Tom Jane Skull, War Zone is vastly different.

I absolutely love P:WZ. Saw 2x in theaters opening day with friends. It’s really a throwback to 80s action films. Stevenson is a great Punisher and he dishes out the punishment.

I love Jon Bernthal in the role too. Same character, different interpretations; nothing wrong with it

For good cornball fun I still prefer the Dolph Lundgren movie. It’s a total low budget b-movie but I love it. The Tom Jane one was… weird. I found it interesting though, especially the extended cut. It was kind of an invented origin revenge story about how he ends up becoming the Punisher, but doesn’t really resemble much from the comics until way at the end.

War Zone? I’m personally not a fan but I can see why it has its fans. I’m all for an ultra violent black comedic take (like the initial Garth Ennis books) but this one doesn’t do it for me. In a weird way it reminds me of Batman Forever, like if you went with that style and combined it with an r-rated grindhouse movie.

Best it's looked and sounded. DV with DA and a true 4K image. I'd get the steelbook if they sold it in Canada and I already have it on 4K.

What the hell is going on with the site's review of this new steelbook? Why is it a review of the actual disc (already reviewed in 2018 by the same person) instead of the thing that's actually new, the steelbook.

And shouldn't a steelbook review feature actual pictures of the steelbook?

Found a Polish seller on Ebay selling this with a slipcover for a reasonable price and bought it. I've never seen any Punisher movies before but looking forward to watching this.
