I see similarities in the criticisms of JL, and am hoping it can be improved with an extended cut like BvS was.
No Extended Cut could improve Justice League look at Suicide squad the new scenes did nothing to improve the film and Joss whedon isn't coming back for a extended cut.

I think Joss Whedon is the last person anyone looking for a JL extended cut wants anywhere near it.

I would bet that Whedon turned in a finished longer cut before the 2hr mandate. Both Avengers movies were just over 2hr 20min. I think ANY extended version would improve the film just by building the characters a touch more and having room to breath. There would be no need for him to come back and finish anything. It is obvious that he has kept his distance since completion, which makes me think that even he wasnt happy with everything that happend

By all accounts it doesn't look like Whedon wants anything else to do with JL anyways. He did nothing to promote the release of the movie. He's liked tweets criticizing Steppenwolf. Zack Snyder has been far more active in his limited responses regarding his work on the movie. https://scontent.ford1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...a7&oe=5AD94B6E

Again whose fault is that though lmao. Its the studios/ DC for not PLANNING AHEAD, and having a long term strategy lol.

The truth is that the people in charge at WB only cared about their bonuses. They didn't give a damn about Justice League! The entire mess could have been avoided if they thought anything about the DCEU brand and delayed the release of the movie. This tale of two directors is ridiculous because neither one has gotten anything positive out of the project. It makes me wonder if all this distancing and backlash is going to be the major component that gets TheSnyderCut released? When nobody is happy the studio has to find a way to save face somehow.

Warner Brothers will probably get someone like Michael Thau to put together a Justice League Extended Cut.

Though, it could take quite a few years before we get it.

We know the footage exists for a proper Zack Snyder Director's Cut. More and more information gets leaked or released weekly. Snyder himself has all but confirmed his version through social media posts. I think this situation is a unique enough one that WB will be compelled to put that version out sooner rather than later. The movement to get TheSnyderCut released is not shrinking. The deleted scenes have only added more fuel to the fire and underscored the complete ineptitude of WB's handling of Justice League. I would be surprised if this was stretched out to Donner Cut Superman II levels. The demand for Snyder's Justice League is sizable and fresh in peoples minds, so it would make logical sense for WB to play that cash grab game if they are able, it certainly wouldn't hurt their reputation, the damage to the fan-base for or against has already been done.

I guarantee you that an Extended cut is done. It would have been finished by Whedon before the 2hr Run Time mandate.

A Snyder Cut could take longer, but it is reasonable to assume it could be finished by San Diego Comic Con or soon after. Again I believe if it could be released by November to build anticipation for Aquaman.

If it is true i rather have the Extended Whedon version over nothing and it's definitely cheaper than a Snyder Cut and it will at least make the studio not look bad.

If I had to choose between no extended cut ever, and the Whedon extended, I would take the Whedon Extended. But obviously I would not take it if WB was deciding to release either the Whedon cut OR the Snyder Cut.

We could be looking at an Alexander or Blade Runner situation though. If the theatrical is done, and the extended is already done, then they would only have to finish the Snyder Cut. Then they could release an all encompassing set that would please every fan. Hell, even Avatar had 3 versions, although it made a few more bucks at the box office.

It all just depends on if WB can turn a reasonable profit. I would pay double what I usually spend on a 4K for a Snyder Cut. And I think most of his fans would pay a little more than normal to have it.

I kind of want to see both if possible. Even though I still like what we got, I can't help the interest in seeing what else is out there.

Man, they have rinsed the shit out of Alexander but there's a reason why Warners keep returning to it, it's been an excellent seller for them and continues to do so. So if peoples boycott the impending release of JL then the chances of them releasing any kind of extended cut (be it Whedonesque or Snyder Vision) drop dramatically. Donner's Superman keeps getting revisited for the same reason, it sells and so Warners are always looking for new angles on that product hence the release of the TV cut when they found a good enough source in the vaults. (One would hope that the TV cut of Superman II will follow at some point.)

I'll be buying JL on 4K for sure, and if/when they release an extended cut I'll be all over that too.

Showing support for Justice League as a brand is a good thing. However, personally I have changed my tune about purchasing the theatrical cut of Justice League. I don't feel compelled to do so because WB is using better Zack Snyder materiel to promote the home video release. Essentially they are trolling Zack Snyder fans thinking we will be sucker punched into buying because we are that desperate for more of Zack's footage. If they want maximum profits I agree with meatball 84, "they could release an all encompassing set that would please every fan."

I ended up getting the 4K Vudu, and I cannot resist the DigiBook. But I will wait for an extended to get the physical 4K
