Are there really press releases for every BD/UHD? Do the studios really need to have a formal announcement that they are going to be releasing something. Never understood this. Just throw up the pre-orders on Amazon. There’s the press release.

I don't think we're gonna get anything for a while yet anyway, if Paramount do what they did with Transformers then the UHDs will be released alongside the UHD release of the new film.

Last Knight was released at the end of September. The rest of the Transformers films took 2+ months afterwards to be re-released on UHD.

Maybe it will be the same here. M:I Fallout September-ish, M:I 1 thru 5 December-ish.

Ah yes that's right, I'm thinking of the slight delay it took to get the 1-5 UK boxset on da street.

Surely Paramount would have had Transformers 1-4 out before The Last Knight was in theaters if they could. Putting them out after the video release made no sense.

I think 1-5 would probably hit some time in July.

Can't see holding the entire series back until MI6's home release, which probably isn't coming until Q4.

Does that mean that MI 1 has been remastered in 4K?

That's 1 out of 3! Or 4 or whatever if the rest have 4K DI. Hopefully this means an all new BD too! The first three really need it, BD50, AVC, DTS-HD MA 5.1 or Atmos, all bonus features too.
If it were me, BD100s for all.

They went out of their way to get the Tomb Raider movies out before a reboot from another studio so surely they will go the extra mile to promote their own sequel.

If these look anywhere as good as Tomb Raider I’ll be ecstatic

True.

Also, am I the only one that's really stoked for 'Fallout'? I feel the MI series continues to improve with each installment.

I love Christopher McQuarrie's style of action and humor.

Rob Hardy was the DOP.

Dat Cavill stache.

French operators.

Rebecca Ferguson.

Potential 4K-DI.

Likely going to have Dolby Vision for its home release.

I am super stoked for this movie.

I know some folks were disappointed they didn't change directors, but I was happy to have McQaurrie back. He's definitely in my top 10 favorite directors out therre now.

Looking forward to Fallout, and can't wait to see 5 in UHD.

Most looking forward to an upgrade for 3. The bluray always felt a bit off. I think it will benefit the most coming to UHD.

I'm looking forward to it, but Rogue Nation was a letdown compared to 3 and 4. Got tired of seeing Hunt fail only to be rescued numerous times by everyone else on the team (and the revival after the water tank sequence was pretty silly IMO). Still better than 2, but hopefully Fallout corrects some of the ham-fisted plotting missteps.

Thank you. Rogue Nation is fine, but it pales in comparison to 1, 3 and 4.

LOVED Rogue Nation. Might even be my second favourite MI flick after the first (of course), but Mi3 runs it pretty close. Ghost Protocol in 4th for its strangely hollow story and the utter bilge of Mi2 in dead last.
