Single movie, it’s great me and my daughter loved it. Hope there’s a sequel.

Fun movie. Some nice scares and the tension I felt during the scene in the bedroom was just ridiculous. The scenes at night had a bluish tone. I would be in for a sequel. Too bad there's no Atmos.

I think they did a great job capturing the spirit of the books while crafting a good story overall using the books elements and they did a fantastic job with Harold and the huge lady in the red room. Those books and their illustrations are the stuff of legend and remain my top favorite books of all time.

I think they are going to move forward with a sequel finally too so here’s hoping they keep it up.

These books were really popular in their day. Not sure if after school book fairs are still a thing, but it used to be a fun way to get us interested in reading in the 90s. From what I recall, these books were among the best sellers each year. And obviously Goosebumps was an absolute mainstream juggernaut then. These stories did actually seem 'scary' at the time with the combination of solid writing and the original illustrations. The movie arguably did a fairly good job capturing that vibe. It was perhaps not the most memorable and I haven't had the itch to watch it again, though I did buy the 4k.
