Yeah, the extra BD's are probably same as the Sapphire set. As has been the norm so far with the latest Paramount uhds.

Ported from the sapphire release BD's, IIRC. Glad this UHD blu-ray is DV and Atmos. I think I knew that... but still comforting to confirm! Oh, man. I got a good feeling about this one.

What's the release day price on this? I've been holding onto a $5 reward certificate to take the sting out of this inevitable, day 1, double dip.

The Atmos track must be quite the sonic upgrade since Gump's original 5.1 track was basically 3.1.

May be too soon to tell. The first video reviewer has a 5.1 setup with 2 upfiring modules on his L&R speakers, and the second reviewer didn't talk about the quality of the soundtrack at all.

I bought this film on widescreen VHS, DVD, and BD over the past 24 years . . . the quality of the audio remix may be a deciding factor for me on a quadruple-dip.

Since Best Buy lowered their price to $25.99. I cancelled my first order and re-ordered. Also Will the $25.99 be the lowest price this will get? Had to order this, because I lost my main Blu-Ray but still have the 2nd disc of special features ..

Are these YouTube reviewers not allowed to show footage of the films they're reviewing? It's the only thing missing from these otherwise worthless videos

Damn, I don’t have any June 12ths, only $20s..

Luckily most of these catalog titles coming out recently are movies I’ve seen, but never owned on any format. Die Hard, Braveheart, The Patriot, Gladiator, Forrest Gump, etc. I’m okay with spending $25 on these because I’ve never bought them before.

I’ve seen all of them. A couple of them I’ve seen multiple times. Whether it was on TV, or at a friends house, or whatever. Just never thought to buy them.

Rustin must be a youngin' ... I'm 36 next week and blu-ray was my first serious collecting, but even I owned at least Forrest Gump, Gladiator on DVD.. and all that list on blu-ray.

I think it's just a risky thing to engage in that could hurt your channel if they chose to flag a video. And they want to have relationships with crossover companies like Sony etc who make audio/visual products they want sent to them for review. There would be written agreements to those arrangements, too.

You'll notice only guys like "mr4kupscaler" shows UHD blu-rays on his TV's. A total amateur-type youtuber. Not a reviewer per se.

You’re almost ten years older than me, but I didn’t really get into collecting until blu-ray was a thing. I only owned maybe 30-50 titles on DVD.

I’m turning 38 next month and have been collecting since the 90’s. Started with Batman and Lethal Weapon 2 VHS.

Looking at the review equipment listed... I don't know if I can put a lot of weight into this write up on the video or audio side of the equation. How can he write about the Dolby Atmos track with authority when he can only do 5.1.2 (don't know if he even has true overheads or if the Onkyo receiver is being used in Atmos mode anyway), puny subs, etc. etc.? 7.1.4 is a bare minimum in my book.
