The idea of the keys is fine, just the tri-color background looks dumb. Have them floating on a grid or somewhere in the Oasis or in the old avatar guy's hand. Can't be that hard.

Well after the fanboy Crystal Skull complaints it was "blah blah blah" anyway.

Wow. The CGI cars in the race look terrible. Shockingly, horribly fake looking. It's like dime store effects. Is this a video from a PC/console game? Because if that's the case then it looks fine for a PC/console.

Well, I mean the whole film is inside of what's basically a big digital game, so...

Movies these days are so slathered in CGI that inevitably some stuff gets a lot of attention and a lot of stuff gets some attention. Thankfully in this movie, things looking a little fake was kind of the point.

The only good thing about that horrible excuse for an Indiana Jones/Mummy movie were the lens flares that kept showing up throughout the film.

Now don't tell me you forgot the fact that Spielberg used/popularized the lens flare effect in his early career.

And yes, I consider BOTH The Mummy & The Mummy Returns to be the true 4th and 5th installments of the Indiana Jones franchise.

Lol we’re gonna complain about a videogame world looking like a videogame?

I thought the virtual camera stuff in this movie was awesome. We saw action from angles that would be impossible to do in real life. Spielberg is right up there with Zemeckis, Cameron and Snyder for using CGI to its fullest potential.

I had some problems with the story, like the lame undercooked love plot and lack of character development, but Spielberg really saved the film with his direction. The cinematography, effects, action choreography and production design were top notch.

I saw the film in 2D last night, but I’m considering the 3D version. It just seemed like a movie that was designed for that format. Haven’t bought a 3D movie in a while, and while I want to keep the format alive most of the recent releases have either been bad movies or mediocre conversions that would be better watched in flat 4K HDR. I would love if WB released a 4K 3D Combo like they did with Kong Skull Island.

I can't decide if you're joking... Have you seen the film?

I don't absolutely hate the steelbook, but if the non-4k steelbook is something different I will opt for that one.

Alternatively the region 2 3D steelbook is much better, if it stays this.

I just prefer The Mummy & The Mummy Returns over Crystal Skull. They were both much better than the latter and were far more superior to the original Indiana Jones trilogy in terms of story.
