Is Paramount only going to have 4K and digital packaged instead of 4K, 1080p, and digital? Days Of Thunder 4K is like this too. Yet Collateral and Beverly Hills Cop do.

I've been watching a lot of Eddie Murphy movies during the last week, so I figured it would be fun to rank them in anticipation of this UHD

1. 48 Hrs.
2. Coming To America
3. Beverly Hills Cop
4. Dolemite Is My Name
5. The Golden Child
6. The Nutty Professor
7. Trading Places
8. Metro
9. Another 48 Hrs.
10. Beverly Hills Cop II

Yep, that's correct. This movie is strictly a 4K UHD and digital release, no Blu-ray. I think what determines whether Paramount includes a Blu-ray nowadays is the special features. If they put all the extras on the 4K disc, they forego the Blu-ray altogether. Otherwise, the Blu-ray will be included to add the special features that aren't present on the 4K disc.

FWIW, it looks like Australia will be getting a release with a Blu-ray copy.

I'm still hoping for a standard. Those b*stards at Zavvi better not have exclusive rights to it.

Not being "woke" . Just saying.
Gemini Man stars Will Smith. Not to mention Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness, and Baywatch. All of those movies have non white leads.

Amazon doesn’t release all their shows on Blu-ray. Look at The Man in the High castle It’s not out on Blu-ray. The only way to get it is to buy bootleg. Even Netflix has released only a selected few on physical media. So explain how that’s not a problem. Actually physical media is dying slowly. And honestly the issues I’ve been having lately with buying discs I’m considering going all digital.

So Netflix, Amazon, and some of the other streaming platforms are not releasing ALL their content on physical media. That is a drop in the bucket. You have to look at the countless number of new releases coming on physical media across the board. And not just streaming platforms. They're probably not going to release their product on physical media, as that would seem counterproductive. Music and movies have got gobs and gobs of physical media being released. Across multiple platforms in a lot of cases. You have to look outside streaming.

As for having trouble buying discs, that might be a YOU thing. No offense. I have very little issues, if any, getting the items that I've wanted on release day and/or pre-ordered. Everything was either in-store available for me to pick up or delivered to me promptly. Most of the issues are related either to one of the items being pushed back for release date or the item being out of stock in the store. In the case of the item being out of stock, I could've bought on Amazon and had it within days or less. However, I wanted to support my local record store so I chose to wait. That was on me. Otherwise, I'm not many issues getting my discs.

I don’t think anyone can be exclusively physical and exclusively streaming, otherwise you miss stuff. Even though I don’t stream often it’s very useful for rare stuff and film festivals.

Sales on Blu-ray had been dropping. This site every once in a while even shows the % of physical media sales compared to digital sales. The Digital Bits even talks about it.

Most people rate Trading Places in the top 3 films of Eddie Murphy. Plus it's one of the best comedy's of the 80's, probably my second favourite comedy of the 80's. Behind the timeless Plane's, Trains, And Automobiles.

I hear 'ya. But for such a long movie, there's just not enough of Eddie in it for me. He's great in it, but it feels more like Dan's movie. This was very apparent to me when I watched it again last week. Wonderful movie, but I wanted more Eddie

But I'm also a bit of a weirdo. Most people also wouldn't have Another 48 Hrs. in their top ten or even remember Metro

I remember Metro and it's one of my favorite Eddie Murphy movies.

I don't stream if I can help it. I try to stay exclusively physical. If I miss something, I miss something. I don't worry about that because eventually it will come to physical.

So? Sales are dropping. What's your point? Sales have been dropping for physical media on the music side of things too. And has been for quite a while. Yet they keeping plugging alone churning out more physical product. And local record stores are not hurting much (I was in my local one last Wednesday and there was a good stream of business) either. Sales are not the only thing to look at. If it was, physical media would've been dead round 10 years ago or so.

Both actor's were duel leads so Eddie Murphy wasn't going to get more screen time, it would of ruined comprised the film if Murphy got the majority of screen time or vice versa. People always think of Eddie Murphy in it but I will say Dan Aykroyd also gave a excellent underrated performance in the movie.
