I also thought the Batmobile was some bad CGI. I'm guessing they didn't want to use the actual Batmobile for JL like they did in BvS

I think the perfect version of Justice League would be some halfway crossbreed between the Snyder cut and the final theatrical cut. Despite all it's problems, there's stuff that works in the theatrical cut. The humour is decent enough and the team interactions are great. The scene with Aquaman accidentally sitting on the Lasso of Truth is hilarious, strengthens the team dynamic (despite it being poorly developed overall in the final film) and is pure Whedon so won't be in the Snyder cut.
I think the best version of the film is some cut that somehow incorporates the best parts of both versions; the action of the Snyder cut, with the storytelling skill and heart of Whedon. If the two collaborated on a new cut of Justice League, it would probably be pretty damn fantastic. Snyder's visuals paired with Whedon's writing would be a dream come true. |

There isn't a set list, but it's easy to guess from tone. Also the UHD makes it a little more evident (principal photography was shot on film, reshoots digital so most of the Snyder scenes have some form of grain).

However, the comedic tone of the movie is absolutely not Whedon's doing. Go back and watch the original comic con footage, the comedic tone is very clearly still there in that original footage, just toned down a bit. Some cringe moments like the "thirsty" line are definitely Whedon, but so are some fantastic scenes like Aquaman's rant. I personally think he improved the movie more than he hurt it, but there are also glimpses of Snyder's trademark style that I would have liked to see more of as well, such as the opening mourning Superman montage, and the history lesson. |

I noticed very sudden changes of pace all throughout the movie from very gloomy to very upbeat and comedic even. I think that worked overall and the Superman is Dead opening musical thing was fantastic!
Justice League rocked! |

IIRC he definitely said Everybody Knows was his choice. And, to my eyes, parts of the opening titles appeared to be shot digitally which would mean they were from the reshoots. So it's very possible this entire opening sequence, which everyone has been saying is Snyder and an example of what Snyder's Justice League would have been, was actually a Whedon addition all along. If that is the case, I personally would find that hilarious.

I have a 4K picture setting question regarding the movie main menu.
In the main menu we see all 5 JL teams, and at least on my Oled TV colors look somewhat over saturated. Skin tones look reddish because of that too. Is that something intentional for the main menu or is it color saturation too high on my tv? I keep color at default 50 by the way Justice League rocked! |

I'm not saying he shot the entire opening, but it's entirely possible he shot parts of it and other parts (including the Lois parts) were pulled from Snyder shot scenes that were deleted. You can do anything with editing.

Oh I see what you mean but it's possible some parts of the opening scene were reshoots.

Watched my 4K copy tonight and overall enjoyed this mess of a movie. The CGI has problems and some questionable physics too, but I had fun with the film. You can see both director styles in the film but the Whedon scenes seem to stand out from the others and I liked the character interaction cause of it. Plus they made Supermans colours brighter and more classic looking, and Danny Elfman using his classic Batman theme was awesome to hear blasting through the system. I wouldn’t put this in the top best looking/sounding discs but it gets the job done (Paddington 2 video spoiled me) Can’t wait to check it out in 3D and see what it adds to the film

One issue I have with these current DC movies is that Superman is so OP. Perhaps that's how he is in the comics (I haven't read them) but it is annoying that Superman became the deus ex machina. Perhaps that's why the Avengers feel more believable and enjoyable to me because NO ONE can do it on their own whereas the Justice League needs Superman to survive and fail hard until he shows up. Superman, on the other hand, doesn't need the Justice League and could do his "hero stuff" all on his own.
