Sorry to say this cover art is kind of blah. the Limited CD soundtrack had top notch artwork... just wish the cover was that artwork.. and this was the booklet. Ouch! For what it's worth, my total came to $130.91. But it's all a moot point for you at this time anyway, as it looks like the "freebie" is no longer available. This one sold out much faster than the previous few SAE promos ... but took a much longer time from when these autograph promos first started.

Well that's what my total came up to as well, but US dollars. Converted in Canadian Pesos, it's $175. No big deal though, those signed copies don't really do anything for me anyways, especially when they are random people I don't even know. I'll just continue ordering a couple of titles a month until the dollar rises again.

For me, the autograph isn't as big of a deal as getting the extra title at no charge, especially if it's a title you're interested in. But the autograph is still a nice perk too.

I don't collect autographs, but getting an Earl Holliman is pretty cool. Of course, getting it on a Blu Ray I want for "free" is pretty cool, too.

Well, since you're getting a free movie, it'll be $175 for five movies. Still not great, I suppose, but if you look at it as getting 20% off...

And if its something you really want then go for it. Might not be able to find the movies again. Not counting the signed copy. If you do be prepared to face the scalpers and pay an arm and a leg.

There's nothing I really can't live without on my list with them, so I can wait it out and get 2 a month or something.

That's something I tend to say to people when they frantically ask if a given TT release is likely to sell out quickly. But I also say that people seem to over-exaggerate the possibility of a title going OOP.

As of the March 2nd pre-orders, Twilight Time has released 190 titles (counting reissues as distinct releases). Only 30 of those are OOP. That's a 15% sell-out rate. Not insignificant, but not insanely high, either.

It certainly sucks when one of them is a title you really want, but unless one is a big fan of 70s-90s horror (which you are, obviously) the odds of that happening aren't all that high. The ones that I'm most sorry I didn't manage to get were ones that were already sold out long before I started considering buying Twilight Time releases. Can't do anything about that (although three of them were reissued, and I did get the reissues).

If money was not an issue i would not have a problem.

I hear you. That's why I still don't have a copy of The Egyptian (yes, I know, there's a Region A Brazilian edition available...)

But that's life. Back in the day, I collected signed/numbered/slipcased edition SF/fantasy books. I stopped for several reasons, but mostly, I was getting tired of having to jump on them immediately to be sure I got copies.

You get to the point where it's not worth the inner turmoil. I'm bummed that there are some OOP titles from various labels that I don't have, and am unlikely to ever get (short of winning the Power Ball jackpot), but you learn to accept it and move on.

Twilight Time puts out regular alerts when supplies are getting low. If there's a title on that list you really want, that's the time to start getting serious about purchasing it if you haven't already. The only title I've ever missed out on and wanted was The Big Heat. Same as you, it was because it sold out just at the time I was discovering Twilight Time. Luckily for me, it's been re-released.
