Agree! Much better than the, what? place-holder cover? that was shown previously. Will have the bass and volume cranked up for this one!

Doubtful. This is probably the one and only Blu ray release for 9 to 5.

So is it the price that is keeping you from this edition or the fact you already own the movie? Or was it just a comment to say I own the Arrow I don't need this one.

How snobby! I mean, it's just hoity-toity! It's almost as bad as telling everyone you have a Panasonic 65" TC-P65ZT60, a Denon X7200WA, AND a Rotel-1582 mkll without them asking about your home theater set-up first.

Watched Song of Bernadette in the last week. Thought it was excellent, pretty amazed that a film of that quality had to be relegated to the "package deal." Though I understand it isn't well known and has a religious theme.

Really happy I have a copy as it is one I'll surely watch again sometime.

Well deserving of the sold out status.

With every TT release we get the same comments over and over about how they have the UK copy so no need for this. If we are going to dog an item lets say why maybe have a constructive discussion.

My specs are listed so when I have an opinion on image and audio people aren't wondering what did he hear it or watch it on. One audio forum for example doesn't approve of people criticizing and CD or SACD etc unless you can say what you are using.

Yes, but could you post the results of your latest vision and hearing tests, just so we know?

I was wondering if it was going to be the same transfer myself.

Because I also own the Arrow release

If the image quality is noticeably better I'll get it, and I still think it's cool to have something limited.

True that, makes you wonder if those at the controls of color correction aren't colorblind most of the time.

Arrow's release of Runaway Train is OOP, and commanding top dollar (there's one new copy currently available on amazonuk for 70 GBP).

That makes TT's release a bargain in comparison - even at full price.

Just curious, when does TT begin their shipping? I pre-ordered 9 to 5 which is released tomorrow and I haven't received any shipping notice yet.

Do they normally ship the day BEFORE release? The day OF release? Do titles normally arrive on release date? or a few days after?

Just asking. Please don't get sarcastic over my question, it's just a couple of honest questions.

Did you order through Twilight Time or Screen Archives? I've never ordered a pre-order through Twilight Time, but in my experience with Screen Archives they usually ship on release day or later. They are slow in fulfilling orders so sometimes it takes a week or longer to get the item sent out. There have been a few rare occasions when they have shipped early, but those are the exceptions.

Here's something worth noting: Back a dozen years ago, Fox released a series of DVDs under the banner "Fox Studio Classics" (with spine numbers!). All told, they released 41 titles under this series. Of those, 28 have been released on blu-ray. Of those 28 on blu-ray, 16 were released by Fox themselves, with the other 12 being licensed out to other labels -- 1 Criterion, 2 Kino, 8 Twilight Time (including 2 not yet released or announced, but known to be under license to them). One might wonder why, if Fox was proud enough of them to call them "Studio Classics", why would they license any of them out instead of releasing them all themselves (rhetorical question)?

Whoa! When did that happen? It's not even listed on Arrow's OOP list, even though it's sold out in their own store and at Zaavi and from Amazonuk itself (not counting third party sellers).

I get the impression he was just a hired job from Corman and he doesn't like to talk about his shoe-string experience.
