Yeah I can't find it on the Twilight Time site either. I was thinking of picking it up with The Young Lions, but it it's not there. I couldn't find Che! on there either, so I just got The Young Lions all by itself.

No, I couldn't either, but if you really want a copy it's still available through SAE as of 11:45 am Central Time. Good luck!

Yeah it's funny (but I understand) how the movies that aren't sold out on one site don't match up with the other one. I wanted the Young Lions the most (only on the TT site now) so that's why I just stuck with the TT site, I would've added a movie if they had a cheaper one that I wanted, but I don't want St. Valentines enough to also put in another order with SE and then have to add on another 4-5 bucks for shipping when I already had to do that for the TT site.

Yeah, I went that route. Good flick and for $9.95, can't really beat that.

In light of the recent sell-outs/near sell-outs, I thought it would be fun (in a masochistic sense) to ask TT buyers what their biggest regrets are after not jumping on the wagon quick enough.

For me it will always be The Mechanic. The few reviews I bothered to skim at the time didn't bathe it in the most glowing light, and while I've always been a fan of Chuck, I wasn't making a conscious effort to collect all of his acclaimed movies. Now that I've pretty much done that, it remains the one gaping hole in my Chuck R1 collection. Really hope somebody else puts this out there, because I know TT's "no reissue" policy precludes it.

2nd by a long distance is Major Dundee, not because it's a great film but for such a stacked release it was worth the $10 it dipped to (I believe) and it fit in nicely with my other Peck Blu-rays.

Leave Her to Heaven certainly stings too but I'll cut myself some slack on that because I was late to the TT game by the time that one went the way of the fossils.

Yours?

I have been pretty lucky, there are equal or better releases for most of the ones I felt like I missed out on. But "The Blue Max" sounds up my alley; I would've blind bought that if I'd had the chance before it went out of print.

I think my biggest regret was not buying the first Twilight Time blu-ray ever released ... The Egyptian. That isn't a title that you can easily find at a reasonable price anymore, unlike current titles that sell out.

Other regrets were Picnic and Steel Magnolias, although I was lucky enough to find those 2 on eBay ... but paid more than I wanted to.

biggest regret waiting on was THE DRIVER...

With the recent price drops/sales that TWILIGHT offers now, I doubt I'll ever be in a position to lose out on a title again.

I'm going to say Fate Is the Hunter. I always wanted to press the trigger and buy it but just never did. Being a huge fan of any kind of aviation films I severely regret this especially since it isn't available anywhere in any format that I've aware of now.

Also, I regret not hearing of TT until only a few years ago missing out on such films as Drums Along the Mohawk, Khartoum, and A Man for All Seasons.

I don't buy many Twilight Time titles but the ones I wished I had gotten are Our Man Flint & In Like Flint.

I’ve been lucky... the only one I missed out on that I really wanted was The Big Heat, but thankfully that was one of the few they re-released. I worry though about something going wrong with some of my must haves and often ponder buying duplicate copies as back-ups.

My only regrets currently are Cat Ballou and Picnic. I missed out on Fright Night and The Big Heat the first time around, but got the reissues. I regretted missing The Train the first time around (it actually sold out while I was in the process of checking out), but have hesitated on the rerelease, due to there being so many other films I need to pick up at this point. I'm still undecided on that, even though the quantity has gotten quite low.

The Flint films are in desperate need of a re-release; of all the films that either needed an “Encore Edition” or a re-release on another label it’s both of them (That and Used Cars).

There's been a few that have sold out while I was deliberating whether to purchase or not. (Most recently, "Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte" which was in my cart when it sold out.) But for the most part, these have been curiosity pieces for me, not movies that I feel I truly needed. I nearly lost out on "Emperor of the North" but raced over to the official Twilight Time site to make my first purchase there after it sold out at Screen Archives. I'd also never seen the movie, but the premise sounded like something I felt I'd really appreciate. And for the most part that's how it works for me... Twilight Time has turned me on to a lot of new movies that I'd never considered (or often even heard of) before. So, generally, if I miss out, I miss out... I know there'll be more new movies for me to try coming down the pipe.

The only one I feel I truly missed out on (and have considered buying used for exorbitant prices) is Woody Allen's "Crimes and Misdemeanors". I simply wasn't aware of Twilight Time as a label before it sold out.
